Artemis was going to regret coming out into the public so soon, but he would need some help locating this Izaya. He walked into the Veil and sat down at a table away from the majority of people.
A waitress came over to greet him, but as soon as she began, Artemis interupted her.
"Yes, yes. I know very well who you are. It's written there on that nametag of your. You are no doubt here to ask if you could get me anything, in which case, you may. I'd like a non-alcoholic bottle of champagne, if you can manage. I don't care what kind. Any is fine, really. If you can't, however, I'd like a cup of black coffee, with some creamer and sugar on the side." Artemis smiled at the dumbfounded woman. "Please and thank you."
The girl brought out her handy dandy little notepad, and wrote down Artemis' request. Then she walked away.
Artemis sat back in his chair and looked over the the other tables. Of course, no one was dressed as he: in a suit. He would most definitely have to change that if he was to blend in with everyday people here. Otherwise, he'd collect eyes. And that would not help him get any closer to his goal.

"Wow-wow! What a smartie-pants!" The hair-ribboned girl twirled to the chair across from the boy, not bothering to ask permission, seating herself down. She had been hiding in a nearby booth, peeking over for any interesting people. Seems she found herself one...
"What a nice suit, Mister! It looks really expensive!" She slaps both palms onto the table to take a closer look, almost right in his chest. She then pushes off the table, back into the chair. It wobbles, and she yelps for a second as she re-stabilized herself. "You look like you mean business!"

"That's because it is. And I am," Artemis replied. He had been slightly startled by the girl's sudden approach, but didn't show it. He kept his face straight and calmed himself.
"What a great way to introduce yourself to someone you have never met before. Do you have a name?"

Hanako grinned. It was now play-time. "Yes. I do in fact have a name." She didn't give it out, just to keep the game going. "Hey. I answered a question. So you answer one, too!" The small girl smiled. She appeared no older than fifteen, so in his eyes, she could have just been a playful child. "Uhhmmm..." She appeared to be deep in thought. She decided to start off with unimportant questions. Maybe lead in to the more complex stuff once trust has been established.
"Are you new to town?"

Artemis stared at the girl for a moment before answering her question.
"What a nice introduction. Nice to meet you too. And actually, yes, I am new here." He gave a short smile, which semi-quickly faded. He had to be polite not to scare her away, though a few moments ago, he would have wished it.
She had done an interesting thing; answering his question without giving out her name, and then urging him to answer hers. There was no doubt in his mind that there may be a little more to this girl than just energy.

Hanako smiled. "Nice. I'm kinda new, too. Do you like it here? Oh! Have you made any friends yet? Friends are good to have in a place like this, you know." She nods twice in agreement with herself, then quickly adjusts the ribbons in her hair as she smoothed it out.

Friends? Artemis having friends? It sounded, almost comical. He had never thought of having friends. He was always too busy, or business-like to even have the heart to have one.
"As a matter of fact, I just arrived today," Artemis pointed out. "It's okay, I suppose. Nothing more than the average city."

Hanako snickered lightly, hiding her smile behind her hand. "Maybe you're right. Nothing out of the ordinary..." She clearly wasn't a perfect example of why it wasn't. "Hey. Your turn to ask a question, Suit-and-Shades. You answered one of mine. Come on, let's keep this going..." She removes her hand from her mouth and laces her fingers together, resting them on her lap. "And I presume, you'll offer your lovely young guest some champagne as well, yes?"

"'A person gone uninvited is no guest,'" Artemis quoted. "...though it would hurt me none to enjoy the company. As for the champagne, that is still an 'if' on my waitress' part."
He turned to look at a small group laughing together, as he conjured up a question.
"If you insist that I ask another question; what is your name?" He liked playing word games, so why not?

"So insistent on names. I like that. Names are fun, aren't they? Pretty things... Oh, right! It's Hanako. My name is Hanako. Almost everyone calls me Hana-chan, so feel free to." Nodding, she begins looking over to the bar area to look for the waitress. She didn't see her, and humphs into her chair. "I'll use my next question now. What is your name, Suit-and-Shades?" Though even when she learned it, she'd probably just use his new nickname.

"'A name is worth a thousand faces.'" Artemis began. "I think I will stick with Hanako, if you don't mind. It is a nice name all its own. --- My name is Artemis."
There was no need to include his last name. She would probably laugh at the irony between his first and last. And though there was something in him saying not to trust her, he had no problem with revealing his name.

"Arr...ta...mess. Artemis? Artemis. That's it! Wow. That's a new name. I can't remember meeting anyone with that name! Wha--" She was about to ask a question, but stopped. She'd play by her own rules. And it was not her turn to ask. "You are in Urbadelphia... And I think you have reasons." She was wording it carefully so she could get answers without questions. "Some come to visit relatives. Others come for new lives. One could only imagine what a snazzy-dressed kid like you could be doing here."

"There is no need to stop yourself from asking more questions. It is only natural to want to let the dozens of questions inside your mind out."
The waitress returned with the usual bucket of ice with a bottle of champagne, a clear glass, and a cup of coffee. "Here you are. I was unsure if you'd like the only brand we seem to have in the back, so I brought you a cup of coffee as well. Oh, shoot. I forgot your sugar and cream..."
"That's quite alright," Artemis replied. "Thank you. And if you don't mind, could you please bring this nice lady a glass as well so she may enjoy the champagne with me?"
"Sure thing," she responded, and headed to the back to grab another.
Artemis grabbed the champagne bottle by the neck, and propped open the cork. He then filled the empty glass half full, handed it to Hanako, smiled, and sat back down, not caring to touch his coffee.
"As I was saying... I am here for more business-related reasons, but it won't hurt anyone for me to stay a while longer and enjoy myself.

Hanako smiled as the waitress left. "That's not how the game works, Arty. You ask, then I ask. It's your turn." She cocked her head slightly to the right with a smile. Her hair droops and reveals some of her scarring for a split moment before she returns her head to an upright position.
Between her middle and right fingers, she picks up the glass and tips it lightly to her lips, letting a small portion of the champagne flow down her throat. "So. Business. Depending on what you're doing, business is good here in Urbadelphia." Instantly, she figured that this boy was here for Izaya. He was why a good deal of "business men" come to this city in the first place.

Artemis almost sputtered. 'Arty' was his pet name given by his mother, but no one had ever called him that except for her. He calmed himself. He swallowed something hard, and pressed on. If they were indeed playing the Q&A game, he should play by the rules. (Of course, Artemis knew all about following rules.)
"So you're semi-new here. Why have you come?"
He didn't want to get into the details of his trip, so he decided to keep to the general.
