Izaya's phone connected to a private number he'd recently lifted from various sources; it hadn't been easy to get, of course, but he really did like challenges.
"Hey, there," he said, when the other phone connected. "I was wondering if you might be willing to meet with me, as sort of an apology for my deception and a celebration of plans gone well," he said, smiling his smile, that smile creeping into his voice, and his eyes were their natural red even though he knew she couldn't see him.
"Tere's a place in town... I normally don't go there, but it's a nice place. A good place for finding information, too, but they also serve the best food in Urbadelphia. What do you say.... Kyuu-chan?"

Utau had enjoyed running rings around Izaya, even when it came to trivial things such as her phone number. Her brother hadn't been in contact since what happened down main street, but she knew he was watching... Koibito told her so... She may not be able to see Menma, but she could feel Sentoki. Listening to Iza-kun, she giggled softly before giving a shrug that he couldn't see.
"You know, Iza-kun.. You don't have to call me that anymore... I have a name you know! It's Utau. You should learn to use it, Iza-kun!" She gave another girlish giggle before continuing. "But Iza-kun! Are you asking me out on a date?! Why, I'd be insane to decline, wouldn't I?! Let me change into something more appropriate, name a time and a place, Iza-kun. I'll be there."

He chuckled.
"Is it a date? That's up to you, Kyuu-chan." He used her nickname on purpose, there was a teasing edge to his voice. "Meet me at the club called Veil, in an hour unless you can't make it."

"Oh believe me~!" She called "I can make it." She gave one last giggle before hanging up the phone. The wonders of teleportation.
She skipped off to her wardrobe which she flung open enthusiastically, before flicking through her vast array of outfits, confirming each one with a firm 'no' before stopping on one particular number with a gasp and a squeal. "You!" She chose, picking the dress out. It was essentially a black corset not unlike her usual attire, but more elegant, with a longer attached skirt that dropped down to just below her knees. She chose some deep, plum, tights and then a pair of plain black heels.
Slipping into her chosen outfit, she admired herself in the mirror, flattening down her skirt, and letting down her pigtails. She curled and gathered all her hair over her bare left shoulder and beamed. It had been a while since she had looked this girly. Checking the time, she had a few minutes until she was due to arrive. She giggled before vanishing, leaving a thin puff of smoke.
She instantly re-appeared down a small alley next to the Veil, and stepped outside with a small sigh. She looked over the crowds, searching for Izaya. She earned a few stares, overdressed as she was, but she's an eccentric girl. She's used to it.

Izaya hung up the phone, smiling to himself. He dressed up for the occasion, donning a coat similar to his own but much longer, embroidered wih a pair of foxes in multi-colored metallic thread. His dark jeans were switched for slacks, and he altered his hair, lejgthingin it and tying it back with a band of shadow, placing a silver running fox clip to keep longer bangs out of his eyes.
Then he melted into the shadows, searched for his Kyuu-chan.
"Well, now," he said, stepping out behind her. "It appears we're both here early, hmm?"

"What can I say?" She said, not turning to face Izaya. "I wanted to make sure I wasn't being stood up!" She spun around and held her hands together in front of her skirt, with a big closed-eye smile on her face. When she finally opened her violet eyes, her smile broadened into a grin as she feigned shock.
"Sorry, mister!" She cried "I was expecting Iza-kun... He looks a lot like you, but more scruffy!" She giggled and gave him a wink.

He laughed.
"I can be scruffy for you, if you like," he replied, and illusion shimmered over him. A certain angularity came over his face and limbs, the lanky look of someone who didn't get enough to eat. His slacks became ripped jeans, his hair, unkempt, his jacket, a more ragged version of the one he usually wore.
"A ragged rogue," he said, giving her a mocking bow, then raised one eyebrow at her. "Do I do it well?"

She gave a small shrug. "You look far too much like that guy from Scooby-Doo for my liking!" She said as she suppressed a giggle with her hand. "Come on, Iza-kun! Shape up! I can't be seen walking into this place all dolled up with a hobo on my arm, can I?! I guess Mr. Smarty-pants will have to do for tonight!"

The illusion vanished, revealing the Izaya that had appeared before her earlier, and he laughed.
"Well, then, whatever the lady wants, hmmm? Come on in with me, then~" he called, stepping backwards until he was infront of her and then bowing her in. "Ladies first, isn't that what they say?"

"Ewwww! I didn't know you were such a traditionalist, Iza-kun!" She said with a giggle as she turned Izaya around so he had his back to her, before forcibly pushing him into the Veil. "We're pushing gender equality forwards, Iza-kun! Gentlemen first~!" She laughed maniacally as she forced Izaya into the Veil.

"Oh, but I'm not a gentleman," he said, grinning at her as she pushed him through the door. He leaned over, whispered in her ear. "I'm a very bad man, in fact." Then he giggled - no other way to describe it, and ushered her through after him, sweeping her towards a seat.
