"A Future Denied - Ascension (Part 2)"
The screen is dark...
A voice speaks, garbled by some disguising machine.
"I am glad you can join us, Mr. Shepard."
"But you're too late..."
Neku stands in front of a gathered council of U.S. Senators.
"Mr. Sakuraba, are you in any way affiliated with this man called the Dovahkiin-"
A large muscle bound man exits a building, cops surrounding him with guns trained on him. We then see several flashes of him killing all the officers one by one.
"Who claims to be a member of your Network?"
We see Neku sitting in a chair in front of the senate.
"No."
"Then are you in any way trying to assist the terrorist known as Sora Shimomura?"
"No," Neku answers again.
A Senator pauses before he asks, "...are you assisting anyone who is trying to help Sora?"
Neku does not answer, instead he looks back and forth between each member as we fade out...
we fade in to Urbadelphia, we then see Ashe slowly make her way through the streets of the city - a narration occurs.
"We can't do this without you."
"I just don't think I am the guy for the job."
"You were picked for a reason."
We cut out to an image of a man wearing jeans, an A-shirt, and an unzipped hoodie - Vaan Shepard, he looks to the camera and says.
"What if Sora was wrong? What if I am not the guy you all need?"
The screen goes black.
"Then we have already lost."
The following images are of battle, Vaan and Ashe fighting side-by-side during a Crossing, various combos are used as the two fight like a tag team. We then see Neku and Namine doing similar tag team combos, we go to a scene in which Shizuo and Aqua are back to back surrounded by demons. We go to an image of Lea screaming in pain as the Dovahkiin slices him down with two curved blades. Vaan stands among an ashen filled battle field, looking around him in horror...
we then see Shizuo slowly falling, bloodstained, eyes open in shock, blades sticking out of his chest - falling to his death. We see Aqua trying to push through several demons, her hand outstretched - as if trying to catch him, screaming out in agony.
we then see a similar image of Neku and Namine, both on the ground, facing each other...their outstretched hands cannot reach each other.
we then go back to Vaan, surrounded by all this horror...as a figure emerges from the dust, a man in all black cloak - only his lips and jaw is visible. He smirks at Vaan, who turns to him....
only to be shot in the shoulder by an arrow. He yells out and stumbles back, out of the corner of our eyes we see the Dovahkiin emerge from the dust - crossbow in hand he stands a few feet apart from Vaan. The boy turns to him and they face each other, Vaan tightens his grip on his broadsword and he charges at him - swinging his sword just as the floating light that accompanied him clashes alongside Vaan too - creating a bright light that floods the screen...

The light goes out, we see nothing but dust as words form.
