Here is the last track promo
7. The Network Rises
About: "One will fall, but a network shall rise."
To fit the theme of this line, I chose the ending credits theme from Batman Begins, composed by the talented Hans Zimmer.
The opening immediately assaults you with a dark heroic orchestra, compelling but strong, this section is about the Network - who are full of heroes who are the last stand between humans and demons. The powerful heroic theme, continues until it softens up a bit at 1:25, heroic but soft, representing a soft calm to show humanity, a swelling yet grounded section.
At 3:42 - where we drop the heroism and we have soft violins and pianos - a romantic theme, for lovers in a time of calm - yet wistful and sad, suggesting this is more of a theme for lovers who have loved and lost, i.e. Shiki, Aqua in retrospect, and something else I will not spoil...
At 5:46 though we move into something dark and longing, powerful beat, and slightly heroic, this section between 5:46 and 6:56 is all a theme to Sora Shimomura. A hero is lost...but not gone, and now must be found. The dark, longing and yet heroic beat shows the character who gave a tremendous self sacrifice - giving up his own freedom to decide the future of a race of people who he has secretly grown to care about.
6:57 all the way to 8:54 is powerful, heroic, and inspiring. This is a theme of Vaan AND the Network. The Network's section we hear again, but there is something about this segment that is heroic AND hopeful. This is due to Vaan's role in the story, in a time of oppression a loophole and an inspiration comes into play to bring back the heroism in this powerful group. Strong and swelling, we see Vaan's -honorary- inclusion into the group has been a motivation and necessity.
The last six seconds on the song, that single drum beat says only one thing....
...it's not over yet.
