((This is one of the threads of Ascension Part 2, anyone from part 1 is allowed to join, characters who have not been in PM either Sora Shimomura, Vaan Shepard, or this account and give me a heads up)) The evening was one of those cool nights, gentle breeze, trees whistle softly as the wind moves through them. Above the streets below, a figure looks below with interest. "Look at the tiny ants move," the figure spoke, a voice disguising device made his voice sound distorted. "Lets make them scurry a bit shall we." He turned behind him were three teenagers standing around something covered with a large blanket. The man pulled the blanket off to show a large pedestal with an orb on it. "All we need to do is distract the other Network a bit longer," the man spoke, placing his hand over the orb. "Long enough for our master to arrive." " Urbadelphia" (section 0:00 to 1:45) The orb began to respond by emitting a fiery red glow, the glow turned into flames and then the flames spread out and surrounded the area - the flames turning into invisible ethereal walls and whatever was in the area began to turn. Shift, violently and monstrously, it is what we all know as a Crossing - and now several people were caught in it. One of them, was Ashe McGuiness, who was still doing her street hunting when the Crossing formed. Ashe turned as the streets began to look monstrous and demons began to come out and swarm the streets. "Shit." Ashe cursed, pulling over the hood on her head. |

Josh and Sophie had been browsing through the shops again, simply looking for anything that seemed... interesting. They'd seen a lot of the same shops as before, either changed slightly or moved a short distance from where they'd previously been. Astonishingly, they hadn't come across the old woman again. Sophie was worried they might, but her conscience was cleared after a while. She thought the lady was just a little too creepy to begin with, and she didn't want the lady to ask Sophie if she wanted the necklace. She tried to keep the flashback out of her mind.
After a while, they decided they'd had enough. Sophie had suggested they go to the Veil for a little bit to relax and enjoy a nice meal, and Josh (with no doubt in Sophie's mind) agreed.
They had just started heading that way when they saw Ashelia. It took Josh two looks before he identified who she was.
"Hey," he called. But he wasn't able to finish before everything started to change.
Sophie had looked in the direction Josh was facing, and spotted who he was shouting to, but her face turned to confusion as she focused on what was happening.

Ashe turned to the voice calling her, she recognized him as one of the people who were with Vaan when she regained her sense of self.
"Hey, you're-" she didn't get the chance to speak further when the ground around them burst out holes and demons crawled out. Ashe's body glowed with a strong telekinetic aura.
"I hope you can fight, cause I am not saving your ass." she warned to the two of them.

Roxas was enjoying a nice, cold, sea-salt ice cream. Just enjoying the sky, wondering what he was doing with his life, wanting a job... Y'know, teenage stuff! And then? Just as he was wondering if he was about to hit an epiphany, he hit something else.
A crossing.
Great.
He dropped down in front of three strangers, two swords appearing in his hands as a cautious frown spread across his face. He had a feeling that this was about to get far more intense than anything he'd partaken in.

In an instant, Sophie's aura flared around her, and vanilla filled the air mostly around the twins. Reacting with it, a mere hint of Josh's orange-scented aura could be detected, though barely by the average nose.
It was most inconvenient that Josh had to dig through his backpack, bring out the artistry tube, and unwrap and pull out Clarent; but it was all he had. He had been Awakened for what seemed like nothing.
He finally managed to pull out Clarent, and replied to Ashelia's comment. "Yes; we can."
Sophie was a little more interested in the boy that dropped before them than the two's comments back and forth. It's not that she'd fallen in love all of a sudden (and she'd be quick to deny it); it was just another person she didn't know, joining in on the fight. She and Josh would definitely have a lot to learn about this place.

Ashe sized up the boy who just arrived and pushed her legs forward at some of the demons coming up out of the ground.
"Keep up." she only replied with, when she got near one demon she used small, focused telekinetic blasts to hit their arms and legs: breaking them. She danced around the demons effortlessly, moving almost eloquently, she would deliver close ranged blasts and then either flip back or cartwheel around one and continue the attack.
If two tried to gang up on her, she would either use both hand to blast them both back and focus on one, or she would flip as one would attack. After she would land she would blast them both back at the same time.
She may not have impressive range blasts as she did when she was the Arbiter, but she was still a very lethal fighter.

"Aww man..." Roxas mused as the air pressure behind him kicked up. "I can't let someone do better than me!" He suddenly propelled himself forwards, launching over Ashe and landing on a demons head, he quickly swung outwards and cut down any demons adjacent to him. He backed away cautiously, the last thing he wanted was to get surrounded by demons.
He built up the air pressure around himself, forming a thin barrier to protect him from projectiles. Crossing his swords before him he took a deep breath, feeling the demon within him, Fukushu, fighting towards the surface.

"Sora...I don't bleave your dead nor will I accept it. You've left too much behind and you still have a job to do." I mutter to myself as I felt a change in the wind as the demons began to appear around me.
"Your timing couldn't have been better. I need some stress relief." I said as I transformed into my full rider form and began to shoot multiple balls of flame at the demons that had surrounded me.

(Sininen and Midori)
The twins' senses flair, a crossing had began, and just when Sini had cornered Midori to ask where he's been disappearing to lately. At the same time they turn and race down main street, Midori slipping his gloves on as they do, both their eyes changing to a blue-violet as they move.
Shortly they reach and enter the crossing, Dori throwing a well timed punch at a stray demon and pulling his hood up to cover the recently beginning-to-appear-when-he's-under-stress small triangular horns. Sininen on the other hand races into the hoard, summoning his weapon to his side in a flourish of movement. Then the blue haired boy leaps into the air, intercepting a demon mid leap and bashing it on its head. Twisting around he lands another blow to its left side as the two fall back to the ground.

With the new arrivals the battle moved through quicker, however the figure above did not like that.
"No no..that just cannot do..." he said, his left hand glowing red. "Lets make things interesting."
He shot the red aura into the air and seconds later a large roar was heard, emerging from the clouds was something most of them haven't seen in a long while...
...a dragon. It was gray, many spikes on his back - however it wasn't a large as the past ones...because of that, it was extremely fast. As it flew down it shot a blast of electricity that rained down on the party.

Well, this was new. Roxas had to jump aside and away from the dragons attack as he gained his footing more solidly. He stared wide-eyed at the dragon for a moment, how was this even possible?! He then realised he lived in a world where demons are real and people have magical powers, to be shocked by a dragon was actually a pretty stupid thing to do. He took a deep breath, speaking to the demon within. A large suit of armour stood before Roxas, held back by multiple chains. The boy stepped towards it and reached out a hand, speaking as he did so.
"We do this once. Consider it an experiment, Fu!" He beamed as his hand touched the pauldron on the suit of armour.Roxas opened his eyes, pulling himself from his subconscious, he looked down at his new attire and grinned. He was losing power fast though, so he dismissed his silver sword in order to balance this new strength out more. "Alright, lizard-breath!" He cried, holding his sword in two hands. "Let's dance!" |

I looked up only to notice bolts of electricity come crashing down which I used my cloak to somewhat block it snging my skin if I had any.
"Anyone feel like going on dragon slaying duty?"

"Shi-!" Midori throws his hands up, shielding himself and watching his younger twin twist and wrestle until he lands. "Sini! Wa-!"
The blue haired boy slips and slides under the demon in time for a bolt to hit it. He watches it vanish before his ear catch what Riku says. Jumping to his feet he laughs, "Lets put this thing down! Pick it up, Dori!"
The silver-blue haired half sighs and quickly races to his twin's side, ready to fight.

Ashe watched the dragon fly down to her, spacing her legs apart and letting the aura glow around her she prepared to attack...
...someone was running, he huffed and puffed as his legs pushed him, a floating light next to him guiding him.
"Up ahead, hurry!"
The person moved, aiming a large crossbow at the dragon who was now hovering in front of the others. He took careful aim...and fired! The bolt shot out and hit one of the wings of the dragon, causing it to roar and flail a bit in the air.
Ashe turned to where the bolt fired and found someone she hasn't seen in awhile: Vaan Shepard. Wearing jeans, an A-shirt and a unzipped hoodie over it, he kept his crossbow trained on the dragon as he fired.
"I had him!" Ashe yelled, wounded that Vaan almost took the target down.

The lightning that had rained down had almost caught Josh. He was going to slice through a demon, but he jumped back before it clawed him in the chest. At that moment, a lightning bolt had struck where he was standing. What an odd turn of events. As for Sophie, a bolt tried to shock her, but her silver aura flashed before the impact, and sent the bolt into the ground, leaving her untouched. She ran up to a demon an thrust her hand forward. The demon was thrown backwards into a couple others, and they wrestled a little before realizing they were on the same side.

As the dragon roared in agony, Josh had to hold Clarent in one hand to cover an ear with the other. He still wasn't used to his Awakened senses. Everything was too...overwhelming. There were some advantages, but there were also many disadvantages.
The twins had, oddly enough, split up in different directions to fend off more demons, though Josh couldn't help himself to look back at Sophie occasionally; only to almost be attacked. He'd almost been clawed in the arm, but Clarent reacted just in time; spinning Josh around and sending the demon to the ground.
