"Yahooo! Hit that big, ugl-- ACK!" Leaping to the side to avoid being hit, Sini watches as his brother single handed - like in three punches- vanquishes the demon. He beams as the shadows that encased Midori's hands thin. "Alright... Now... A way to beat that thing down!"
"Him," Dori nods in the direction of Vaan. "Ask him." They share a nod before heading straight for the blond with the crossbow.
"Yo! Blondeh!" Sini shouts as he slides under a demon to come up a foot or so from Ashe and Vaan. "Whatcha think we need to do!?" His tone isn't frantic, just concerned... I mean... Giant flying lizard? No time to panic!

Vaan looked at the group, scoffing at Ashe, "You're welcome!"
A large roar alerted them back to the dragon's presence, a large whoosh was heard and Vaan jumped just in time as the building suddenly crumbled. A blur moved away from the crumbled building and appeared on the side of a larger building, it roared at them and fired another blast of energy. Vaan moved out of the way as the blast came down, aiming the crossbow at the dragon.
"You ever read the Hobbit? Aim for the underbelly and lets go from there!"

"Well, now, our new friend's got a classical education, huh?" asked a new voice as a flaming 'spear' launched for the dragon's belly. "Hey, there, kid!" he called, waving and grinning. "Sorry it took me so long. Got caught in traffic."

The 'spear' exploded against the underbelly, causing it to stagger in the air Vaan took this time to fire a bolt from his crossbow and managed to nail part of it's underside. The Dragon was going to fire another electrical blast at it, when Ashe waved her arm and a large force made the head turn sideways as it fired. "Get out of here Vaan, this is too much for you!" Ashe said, to her surprise Vaan actually chuckled. "Wow, you really didn't remember anything as the Arbiter did you?" Vaan said, the crossbow turning into a sword. "Why don't you let me handle this?" " Watch the Skies" As the dragon was regaining it's balance Vaan moved, jumping in the air and slashing with his sword. Leaving long red slashes on it's armor, it reared back and tried to swing it's spiked tail at them.

Roxas suddenly sprinted forwards, dropping onto his back he skidded underneath the spiked tail, thanking all the gods and demons of earth for his heightened agility. Rolling over and onto his side, he was soon back on his feet. He exhaled, preparing himself for his next move. He shook his head and started running back towards the dragon.
"Oh god this is stupid!" He cried as he ran.
Leave it to me...
He was back in his subconscious, with a hand still touching the suit of armour. He looked up at it and frowned.
"How about this, I'll take your suggestion?" The armour didn't move, but a voice seemed to reverberate from it.
"Alright. We're aiming for the underbelly, right? Well, why not make it an easier target for everybody else?" Roxas mused over this for a moment before nodding slightly. Sharing a consciousness, Fuu's plan instantly flooded Roxas' mind, and it all made sense.
"Alright. Deal."
The debate took a few milliseconds, despite how long it had seemed to take within his mind. But Roxas continued forwards and jumped upwards, sword held above his head. He plunged down and landed on the dragons back, hoping to force it to rear up.
"Lea! Other people who I don't know!" He cried, wrestling to keep his balance on the dragon. "Underbelly! Get it!"

"Alright!" Sini shouts as the dragon rears up, throwing his sword ahead of him before racing after it. Midori opts out of the stupid idea to get close which can result in getting squished, instead he throws his own shadows and darkness at the Dragon in the form of energy balls, one of his more powerful attacks to say the least.

The dragon roared and began to flail around, because of it's rather small size it was able to move around quickly rather than be stationary. Vaan stepped back as the dragon began to move around like a bucking bronco.
"Hang on!" he yelled to Roxas, turning to the ball of light. "Can you do anything to slow it down?!"
"No, not without hurting the guy on the back."
Suddenly a massive force slowed the dragon down, Vaan looked at the dragon for a moment. "Huh? How?"
"Hurry up!"
Vaan turned to Ashe, hands outstretched and telekinetic energy pulsing. "Will you hurry up?!" she repeated.
Vaan snapped back into action and leaped, stabbing his blade on it's now slowed underbelly.

Sini grins as he bashes against the giant lizard as well, completely thankful it stopped moving as much.

"Easy there, boy!" Roxas cried as he clung on to dear life, his sword lodged into the dragons back. "You should calm down!" He clenched a fist, calling on the power granted to him by Fuu. He felt the air pressure tighten around his fist, sort of like an incredibly solid knuckle duster, before he slammed his fist against the dragons scaled back.
He brought his fist back before continuously pounding against it's scales for as long as he could before it eventually managed to knock him off.

The dragon flailed around a bit, slowly, though and it managed to get out a blast that knocked Ashe's focus. The blast kicked up debris and sent her backwards, Vaan was recovering from the explosion when the dragon landed and began to move to her.
"Ashe!" he yelled, Roxas's attacks were slowing it - but it was still making its way to her. He was about to run to Ashe when another scream caught his attention, he turned and saw a woman - below, a human like him, being surrounded by demons.
"Vaan, the dragon!" the floating ball of light warned, causing Vaan to turn to the dragon that was closing in. He looked at the woman, demons were coming in on her quick and she had no where to run. Ashe didn't have much time either, Vaan looked...he had to choose, save an innocent woman, or Ashe.
What do I do...? he thought, time moving against him, seconds ticking away - with little time to decide he turned and made his choice: he ran to Ashe. A lance forming in his hands he stood in front of her, jabbing the lance at the dragon to back it off...
only for it swing it's massive paw at him and smack Vaan aside, he spun on the ground and groaned as the massive dragon bore down on Ashe.
"Ashe!" he yelled as the dragon reared its head back...
only for a falling blast of fire to slam into it and knock it away, the falling ball of fire was not a ball though: it was a man, a man covered in flames.
"Huh? Vaan asked, looking at the man covered in fire, Ashe who was finally opening her eyes looked in surprise.
"...Mikhail? Mikhail!" she cried out, the man covered in flames turned to her and nodded.
"I got this," the newcomer named Mikhail said, Vaan was about to speak when a distant scream caught his attention, he turned and saw the woman get stabbed by a demon - soon they were pouncing on her.
"NO!" Vaan yelled, running past the dragon and leaping to the lower level, the ball of light quickly making a slide for Vaan to get to them quickly. "GET AWAY FROM HER!"
He leaped to the demons, switching to his twin axes and hacking at any demon within reach. "GET AWAY FROM HER!"

Sophie heard the scream, and immediately turned to see Vaan defending a woman. She didn't want innocent people to get hurt, and she definitely couldn't look and do nothing.
She rushed over to help him, though she didn't know what else she could do besides blow the demons away. So she did just that. An air current lifted some of the demons off her and threw them towards the dragon.
Josh had been busy fighting off demons of his own. Left and right, Clarent swung. He almost felt like he didn't have control of it. No. He had control. If he didn't, then who did? The sword most certainly didn't have control over him... He fought off a couple more demons and looked toward the dragon. Of course it had to be another dragon, he thought. They didn't have an easy time with those other two from before, but they'd done it. They had to come up with a plan to stop this one, even if it meant re-doing the past two encounters, if at all possible.

"Fry!" Fire swarmed across the demons clawing into the woman. He had to believe - to believe it wasn't too late for her. He leaped into the fray, swinging weapons of fire and firing bursts of flames at demons as they attacked.
"We've gotta end this quick!" he called out, spinning a kick into one's face. "It's drawing humans into the Crossing!"

The newcomer, the one named Mikhail -and the one covered in flames- glowed as more fire heated up around him. The dragon reared it's head back to bite, Mikhail thrust his hand forward and a burst of smog poured into the dragon's mouth - it reared back from the taste.
"You need to light up," Mikhail commented, using his other hand to throw a small thing of flame into the green smog...and cause it explode inside the dragon: cooking it from the inside. The dragon gave a feeble roar and collapsed.
(End: Watch the Skies)
--- Sophie's air bursts blasted back most of the demons and Lea's flame burned the ones mid-air, once Vaan finished chopping any demon still alive he pulled the demons off the woman...
---
With the dragon dead the flames covered around the man died off, revealing an eighteen year old with short brown hair that was styled in spikes, wearing a flannel that was unbuttoned at the top and bottom, jeans with several rips in them. Ashe slowly got up as he turned around, when the two met eyes they smiled and she ran to embrace him.
"You're here!" she said, holding him tightly.
"Sorry I took so long," he said, they held each other for a few minutes until they broke apart. "With the dragon dead the Crossing should end soon."
"Yeah," Ashe agreed, looking around, "...where's Vaan?"
"Vaan?" Mikhail asked.
Then they heard Vaan's yell, they turned to the area where he vanished and Ashe feared the worse. "Oh no...Vaan!"
She ran to the side and leaped down, her telekinesis slowing her descent. When she landed she saw Vaan on his knees, several dead demons around him and blood staining the floor. For a second she feared he was injured.
"Vaan!" she called out, running to him and...
...seeing that he was fine...physically, but that's only where it stayed. She saw the body, a woman, human likely, stabbed and mutilated by the demons and Vaan, weapons on the ground to his side.
"I couldn't save her..." Vaan said.
"Vaan..."
"I tried to save you and I couldn't...I tried to save her and now she's dead..." Vaan said, lowering his head, "...I screwed up."

Lea's eyes softened, his own hands covered in demon blood as well as the blood of the woman whose life they'd both desperately tried to save. He wiped the wost of it off on his jeans, then placed a comfoting hand on Vaan's shoulder.
"We tried," he said, quietly, shaking his head. "That's all you can do, try your best. But you can't save them all..."
He closed his eyes, lowered his own head. "We ended the Crossing, though. No more people have to die today. That's something positive."

" A Future Denied - Ascension (Part 2)" Vaan didn't seem to feel Lea's hand, he just looked down at the body as the Crossing around them began to break apart. Despite the demons and demonic realm around them fading, the woman's body would not fade along with it...Vaan continued to kneel in front of it. Ashe knew people were going to be appearing soon and they would see the body and Vaan and suspect the worse, she reached down to gently nudge him. "Vaan...we have to go..." she said, he still wouldn't budge. "Vaan, come on..." He still would not move, finally she grabbed him with both arms...and then he reacted, he moved around and hugged her. Ashe was shocked at this, the warrior who managed to stop her controlled self and at least two dragons was suddenly as helpless as a child. The truth was this was Vaan's first real taste of failure at a large scale, he chose the selfish action and not only did he even manage to screw up saving Ashe but he got someone killed. It was the first time in awhile since Vaan has felt so useless... Michael Fri Presents... Ashe felt awkward at first but soon realized how fragile Vaan was right now, she wrapped her arms around him and pulled him to a comforting hug. "It'll be okay...it'll be okay Vaan..." Despite her words...he could almost feel that things were not going to be okay, that this bitter taste of defeat.... ...was only the beginning. Ascension - Part 2 From high above them, the bald headed man and a group of others looked at the defeated Vaan and chuckled. "That's it...that's what I want to see from you Vaan, complete and utter defeat..." (End: A Future Denied - Ascension Part 2)
