Appearance: Hope is roughly 5'9" with a lean build bordering on skinny. It's clear that he's not exactly an individual built for fighting even if he is quite active since he spends the majority of his time in a lab or working on a computer. He has fairly unusual colouring for a man of 24 years old since his hair is stark white, almost silver in colour which only serves to make him look more pale than he really is as well as causes his green eyes to stand out in stark contrast to the rest of him. Despite his age his face is still slightly boyish in appearance even though he had long since lost the baby fat of childhood. This has caused him quite a bit of annoyance as he is often teased about it, though most of the time it is merely friendly jokes from colleagues which he doesn't take too seriously.
Personality: Hope is a fairly quiet but determined man, almost to the point of being stubborn. He is also quite dedicated but this is mostly directed towards his work and it has the side effect of him sometimes becoming so focused on a project that he won't eat or sleep as much as he should. Some would probably describe it as him being a workaholic due to thos. As a result he is not exactly skilled at social interactions that don't involve discussing projects or work since he doesn't have a lot of experience with it. However he is rather friendly in spite of this even if he does have a bit of a temper, though he has become more adept at keeping it under control since he was younger.
History: Hope discovered the existence of the Otherborn at a young age when one of them lost control of their powers while he was on an outing with his mother. She was, unfortunately, killed in the crossfire which left Hope in the care of his father. For quite a long time Hope hated Otherborn, believing them to be monsters or just catastrophes waiting to happen. It's because of this that he threw himself into his studies, wanting to find a way to dampen or nullify the powers of Otherborn entirely in order to prevent such an event from happening again.
Luckily as he progressed through school he had a few positive Otherborn influences, the key one being that at one point during his adolescence he found out that his own grandmother was one of them. With her involvement his motivations for excelling in school developed into something more altruistic, no longer seeking to stifle the abilities of those he had blamed.
Due to his performance in school he managed to get into college where he specialized in engineering and science. Once he'd graduated his grandmother managed to get him an interview for a job at the Network where he was signed on to work in Research & Development at the young age of 22 years old.
