Shiki's day had not been going well. The nightmare she'd experienced put her on edge and still insisted on bothering her. She hadn't slept well and was tired but anxious. Going out to get some air was a good idea until Damon decided to show up. And now the redhead couldn't shake him.
There was one way she thought she could, and that was by going to Veil. Shiki headed in that direction, relieved as the building came into view. She stopped and said to the demon, "Alright, you can go." Damon smirked, "It's not the woman's bathroom, kid. I can go in if I want."
Shiki crossed her arms, "Someone will figure out what you are and make you leave." The demon shrugged, "I'll take my chances." Annoyed, Shiki huffed and looked away from him. Before she'd wanted to be alone. But there was one other thing that would make him leave. If someone came up to her he'd put up an illusion and slip away. He'd done it many times before, not wanting to be noticed. That was her best bet and it would work...right? Of course it will. She just had to hope she'd run into someone...

((Okay, since Ascension looks like it will be on a long hiatus I am not waiting for the ending of part 2 to bring him back so...surprise! Its past Ascension and Sora is back!
Shiki is allowed to act shocked if you wish, all will be forgiven.))
It was the first time Sora had been back since Vaan rescued him, there had been some losses...but nothing they couldn't have handled or survived against.
But regardless he was back, and now was time for him to make his return. He slowly stepped in the Veil, legs weak from lack of use, but he felt a fire burning inside him. Vaan stepped in with him, stepping ahead.
"I can go first if you want me to-"
"No." Sora shook his head, "Better they see me...they know I am back."
Vaan hesitated but nodded, opening the door for him and allowing Sora to slowly limp his way into the Veil. The warm lights were blinding in a way, he was in the darkness too long...

I was sitting at the booth with Jaden having some lunch when before my eyes stumbles in Sora and Vann with Sora being as persistent as ever.
"Sora!" I drop my sandwich and head over to him feeling the residual darkness from him.
"You've changed. The darkness has changed you." I step forward to hug him.
"I'm sorry...I should've done more to stop him..."

(If it will be forgiven, then I'll have her be. Time for a reuniting!)
Shiki spent the next few minutes arguing with Damon, failing to convince him to leave. Finally she gave up and rolled her eyes muttering, "Come on." She entered Veil, took in the familiar atmosphere gratefully. As she started to a table she noticed Damon wasn't following her and she turned back to him, "What?"
He glanced in a different direction and merely put his hands in his pockets, "Take a look yourself." She looked to where he had been and her eyes fell on Vaan. And then they traveled over and she caught her breath.
Eyes widening Shiki stared at him, could barely believe he was really there. She forgot how how to speak for a moment, trying to figure out if she was seeing things. It seemed like a dream and all she could do was whisper his name to herself, "Sora..."

"Not by choice..." Sora said, trying to also make a step forward but suddenly feeling his legs go weak. Vaan moved in and caught him before he hit the ground - helping him stand up he spied some of the benches.
"Perhaps we have him seated," Vaan suggested, walking him to one of the benches and setting him down.
"Thanks...not quite up to full strength yet." Sora admitted.

It took a minute, even as she saw him fall, for her emotions to resurface. Her anger, her pain, came as the shock slowly left. Shiki remained where she was, watching Vaan take him to a bench, her hands in fists at her sides. “So you’re just going to stand there?” Damon leaned against the wall, “You’re real excited.”
Shiki kept her gaze where it was but responded, “Why do you care?” His eyes went to the ceiling, “Because I’m sick of watching you mope around whenever you think about him. Yeah, I’ve noticed.” Shiki didn’t say anything so he continued, “It’s not my job to be your therapist. So go do something about it.”
She bit her lip, both really wanting to but reluctant and angry as well. Hesitantly, she began to move forward, each step showing she was unsure. Shiki thought about everything that had happened through his absence and her anger grew. He left her here. For six months. And she felt completely alone.
The hesitant pace became confident and without pause. She headed straight for Sora, no doubt in her mind. Not even trying to hide or make her entry a surprise, she walked right up in front of the brunette. She was both aware of those around him and at the same time ignoring them.
Her arms crossed her chest, eyes glaring, voice showing her anger. “Sora Shimomura,” was all she could say. Partly because she had no real idea of what to but also because she was still surprised she was standing in front of him. The anger in her eyes failed to mask the hurt, it shown just as brightly.

Sora and Vaan both looked at her and uttered the words that summed up what they both felt at this second.
"Oh crap."
Vaan chuckled nervously and took a step back as Sora struggled for energy, he looked at her and said.
"Hey...I'd hug you, but my spirit has been ripped away from my body for two months so I have a hard time standing..."

Shiki looked at the ground, closed her eyes, "Idiot..." She knew she was surrounded by people, but didn't care. And so she looked back up at him and yelled, "Why are you so stupid?!" On the final word her voice cracked and she noticed, biting her lip again.
And she couldn't hold back anymore. She sat down on the bench and threw her arms around his neck, feeling tears in her eyes, "Don't you ever do this to me again!"
