Yeul took her chance and unleashed an attack on the demon. It was enough to make it roar and reel back, but not enough to kill it. Were they even able to defeat it? Yeul wasn't sure, but she had to try. It was a shame she couldn't end Crossings, that would have been great. She continued her attacks, telling herself that they could win.

Getting thrown off I twist around and spread out my weight. Before I hit the ground I put my paws out. A shock goes up my legs and I hiss again, "ow." Now I return to attacking the demon, landing blows on its legs and sometimes jumping up to bite at its neck.

The demon howled at the bite to its neck, and lunged at the one who caused it. Yeul then shot a bolt at its head while it was distracted, causing the demon to fall back. She glanced over at the one who was helping her, and the demon caught her by surprise, slamming her back and into the ground. But the beast itself was weakened. Another good attack and it would be done...

"Jerk!" I let out a tiny roar as I leap forward and pounce onto the demon, ripping at it with my claws. Teeth sinking into its jugular for the kill. I hold on until its down and gone.

Yeul sat up and watched as the little creature took down the lead demon. Once it was gone, only a few remained and Yeul shot a bolt at them to get rid of their presence. With that the Crossing disappeared, leaving them in the normal ampitheater. Yeul stood and turned to the thing that had been helping her. "Thank you for the the help."

I stand up and stretch, my fur replaced by my dress and I smile up at the girl. My ears twitch and tail wags slowly, almost like its thinking itself. The crossing was over, thus I no longer am my natural form anymore, I giggle when she thanks me, "You're welcome, miss!" I hold out my hand for her to take and shake. "I'm Kiara~ And you are?"

Yeul blinked, surprised to find a girl standing there instead of the creature from before. Maybe she was a Halfer like her? Or a very powerful Otherborn? It didn't really matter. She took the girl's, Kiara's, hand, "Nice to meet you, Kiara. I'm Yeul."

Smiling I purr, "Nice to meet you, Yeul... So... Wonder how that crossing started." I ponder as I let go of her hand and look around a bit, glad things have calmed down.

When Kiara looked away from her, Yeul's eyes flickered. Some emotion that was hard to decode was in that flash. Anger? Guilt? It was too quick to figure out.
"Not a word about it."
Of course he would pick up on that. Funny how he only heard what he wanted to hear. Wonder how much he can make out of my conversations.
"No idea. But Crossings are unpredictable like that." Her tone was convincing, as if she truly had no clue to how it had happened.

"Mmmm," I nod and look back. "Well, you're okay, right?" She handled this fight like a pro though, but she had been hit pretty hard a couple times. I hope she's alright.

"I'm okay, just tired." Which was very true. Yeul was exhausted, but she had been in worse before. She'd also learned how to not show as much as she felt. Although she'd probably have a headache later on from the last hit she took, sleep would be her biggest issue. "What about you?"

I look over myself, I have bruises, some cuts shallow and deep ones, but I'll just have to clean them. So I smile brightly and giggle, "Oh, I'm fine! Could of been worse." I then race around Yeul a moment to stop in front of her. "You sure you're gonna make it back home by yourself? Where do you live? Far? Need help?" My words rushing out fast I pick up a little bit on her weariness, one of the joys of being a demon lion.

She was about to ask if she was sure, but Kiara spoke so fast she couldn't get a word in. Yeul had to smile at the girl's enthusiasm. "I'll be fine, it's not that far from here. But um...if you'd like to that's okay with me." She found herself wanting company for a little while.

Yeul smiled and began to lead the way, then stopped. She looked around for the guy that had been helping them before, but didn't see him. Where did he go? She didn't dwell on it long, just turned back to Kiara, "Sorry, we can go now." Then she started walking again, leading the way to her home.
