I've just been up for got knows how long putting the finishing touches on my latest entry for the contest "The Reaper's Edit', a story-based video editing competition based around the popular game "The World Ends With You". In TRE, each competitor becomes a "Player", choosing a character to follow throughout the Reaper's Game, and either chooses or is assigned a Partner, one of the other Players playing the Game.
Each of these characters, just like in TWEWY, is someone who has died for some reason or another, and complete challenges in order to qualify for a "Second Chance" - AKA, the ability to come back to life. Each Player also forfeits an Entry Fee, the thing they cherish most, as an ante for playing. Should they pass the challenges, their Fee is returned; should they fail, and face Erasure, their Fee is lost forever.
I'm playing Axel (gee, no surprise there) and I'm partnered up with Aya Brea. "Today's" mission was to defeat a dummy Player, a living person attempting to rig the Game in favor of the Rogues, those against the Composer. We were assigned Larxene, and ended up rescuing another pair of Partners, Sora and Demyx.
