((This guy won't be sticking around long enough for me to make an account for him; just a oneshot character, so Lea gets to play host for a while.))
He waited on the street corner; he knew his goal would walk through here soon. His eyes shifted from side to side, and his foot tapped as he leaned into the shade of the awning he stood under, hiding in plain sight, cowering away from the world outside the darkness.
His form blended with it, shifted, and those who walked by wouldn't, couldn't be sure he was really there. That was his ability - to hide unseen.
But he had... other gifts.
Gifts he'd been given in that place.
He would know when his goal came. He would recognize the prodigy, the chosen boy... and he would confront him...

Noctis was walking down the street with no destination in mind, no more purpose than to go out for a simple walk to keep him from feeling cooped up. He knew he spent too much time holed up in his apartment but it was hard to let go of that instinct to lay low, especially since he wasn't entirely convinced that his pursuers had given up. He shook his head lightly before his mind wandered into dark memories and returned his focus to his path, he figured that he might pay the Veil a visit. Luckily it was only a few streets away if he turned at the next corner, where the stranger was hiding unseen.

His senses flared, a splitting headache lanced through his head.
There he was.
The prodigy.
He slipped out of the shadows, unseen and unheard, and forced himself to take the black-haired man's arm, his bare skin, darkened and scarred, to the other's, Noctis', bare skin - contact which he forced his mind through, opening up the other's powers to the horrors he had seen.
His ability, the one he'd been given, had told him exactly what Noctis could do - and now he exploited that, forcing history down the other man's throat as he pulled him into an alley near where the awning lay.
Now neither of them could be seen.

Noctis had taken no notice of the hidden man, not until he had revealed himself by grabbing a hold of Noctis's arm. His eyes turned red the moment contact was made and scene after scene played out in front of his mind's eye. This man's past was so similar to his own, being strapped to a table and at the mercy of a madman. A mere plaything for the doctor to poke and prod. Excruciating pain causing one to lose all sense of time. As he came under assault from these strong and particularly horrific memories he simply could not resist as the stranger pulled him into an alley. As the images finally faded so did the red colour from Noctis's eyes, allowing them to return to their normal blue hue. "Who are you?" He asked, looking at the other person with wide eyes.

The stranger laughed, harshly; his image was terribly twisted. His hair was the color of soot, and the same color worked its way halfway up his arms from his hands. His eyes were the color of liquid gold and appeared to have no pupils; what skin was visible was horribly scarred.
"You wouldn't recognize me," he said, shaking his head. "Not like this... and possibly, not even if I still looked like myself," he said cyptically. "But I remember you. You are Noctis; you're the one he first 'succeeded' with, and you're the reason he knows about the Otherborn."

Noctis leaned back against the alley wall, still recovering from the onslaught of horrific images, he could feel his cellphone vibrating in his pocket but was forced to ignore it for now in the face of this revelation. He remembered vaguely remembered where he and the other test subjects were kept, the memories slightly hazy as those had usually been times spent recuperating from being on the Doctor's table. He took in the fact that this person clearly knew his name and how Noctis had discovered his own abilities. "Alright, so you know who I am. Just what do you want me for?" He asked as his body tensed as if bracing for some sudden action on the part of the stranger.

He laughed again.
"Me? I don't want you for anything. I'd prefer it if you never saw or heard from me again, and vice versa."
He shook his head, wincing as if in pain.
"But... there's someone else who wants a lot from you. Someone who wants you more than he wants anything in the world." He shivered. "And no one, I mean no one, deserves what he'd do to you if he found you."

Noctis listened intently to what the stranger was saying, becoming deeply worried at his warning. "I see, thank you for the warning." He said with gratitude clear in his voice, to know that the Scientist was becoming more determined to recapture him was not a pleasant thought. He would have to be more wary from now on, normally he would leave town but that was no longer an option. No, Noctis would likely have to wait him out now. Annoyed by the incessant vibration in his pocket he reached for his cellphone with an irritated expression, quickly turning off the device with the intention of reading it once this strange person had left.

He shook his head.
"I don't know if you understand, Noctis. He's not just looking this time. He's found you. At least, he knows you're here. And he's working with a big nasty."
He looked away, his strange face focused on the ground, and he shuddered.
"That thing he brought through. Right before you escaped. They're working together.... and it's worse than he ever was."

Noctis paled at this new information before cursing beneath his breath, it would certainly be harder to avoid the doctor now. The idea that he was working with the demon he'd brought through was not a comforting though. Perhaps he could call on his allies...What few there were, at least. "I was wondering how long it would take him." He replied as he leaned his head back against the wall though his voice was empty of the bravado that one would expect when speaking such words. He closed his eyes briefly before opening them once more to look at the stranger. "Think you'll be able to get out of the city before he can notice you?"

He nodded.
"He'll never find me. I can feel the soldiers he sends, and I can be invisible if I have to." He put a hand on Noctis' shoulder, making sure to not touch skin this time. "Look, a lot of the others hated you, 'cause you were the one he was always after, and because you managed to get away before he scarred you too bad. But when I was new, and had just been brought in, you were kind to me, alright? So the score's even, now."
He clenched his fist. "Just... watch out, alright? That demon's bad news, and you know he's just as bad. Don't let 'em catch you."
He dropped the hand, turned away, pulling the hat he wore down to hide his eyes, and started to walk away.

Noctis tensed at the touch though relaxed when the visions didn't flash in his head once more, listening to the words of the stranger. "Yeah, you be careful as well." He replied as the other young man began walking away, staying there for a few moments to ponder over what had been said before reaching for his phone. He flipped it open and quickly read the message from Shiki before sending off a reply.
