Previous experience has shown that Orihara has some affinity for darkness, and has been able to manipulate shadows and illusions in the past. It is wise not to believe what you see around this man.

"Orihara is a powerful demon working as an information broker and informant in the Urbadelphia underworld. Working with him always comes at a price; should he offer information for free, it is best to decline politely, as the cost will usually be greater than if the information had simply been paid for. Orihara plays a dangerous game - while he will occasionally help the Network, he is always, repeat always, working for his own ends, and as such, information received from him should never be taken at face value. His motivations are difficult to read at best. It is recommended that he should never be approached unless the situation is absolutely dire, as he will protect his own interests first, and he should never, ever be approached without a careful assessment of the risks."

A man, the same man shown in the picture, walks over to the file, quickly scans it, and closes it, replacing it on the shelf. He grins, speaking into the cell phone he is carrying.
"Well, well, well... lookie what we have here. Really, Neku, I'm flattered... you must've taken at least two hours writing that lovely folder that found its way onto my desk this morning. I really must be going, though... I have a twelve-o-clock, you see, and I'm really very busy... I simply called to let you know how much it means to me that you care."
He flips the phone closed, cutting off a sputtering response from the other end, and walks over to a table where a game board is set up, containing a mixture of chess pieces, Go stones, and Shogi tiles. Picking one up and moving it, he laughs.
"Let the games begin."

Dear Neku,
Since you've been so helpful as to lend me so much information, I had to think of a way to thank you. So I've started putting together some addendums to that little file folder that found itself on my desk. I hope you enjoy it.

Addendum: I do have the ability to manipulate shadows and illusions, but my true powers are much greater; for example, I'm a shapeshifter-type Guise, did you know that? And it's not just human form that I can take, either. Also, I can use my control over shadows to create exact duplicates of people, including myself. You'd never know unless you took the time to break the illusion...
