"Just an old wound opened up, nothing some peroxide and some sewing won't fix." he walked off to the bathroom and left everyone be.
No doubt seconds later the words "sewing" would click in their brain as they realize what he intends to do.

I winced.
Sewing up a wound with nothing but peroxide to help? I shuddered. I didn't want to think about some of the times I'd been under Shinra's careful needle, or any of the times I'd watched Lea get sewn back together again.

Shiki looked up from her phone to watch the scene, concerned. At the word 'sewing' she paled. Needles were not her thing at all. Her eyes followed Sora until he walked out of her sight.

Aqua frowns at Sora's word of sewing, but she can tell he wants privacy, so, she doesn't pry. Even though its wholly against her better judgement. She looks to Shiki with a small smile and goes to sit next to her, pulling her against her, "Its alright." Earlier on, as in another day, Shiki had said it was alright to mother her and well... Aqua REALLY needed someone to mother over. And Shiki is like the daughter she never had so... yeah.

Shiki nodded, allowing Aqua to mother her as she wished. It was nice actually, so she didn't complain. She fingered the numbers on her phone, finding herself a little anxious. Really? God, calm down! She yelled at herself mentally. He was fine.

There was a good five minutes before Sora returned, on his left arm a bandage to keep whatever old wound was there secure. He seemed irritated, but alright.
"Sorry...I think the fight opened up an old scar."
Scar was an understatement, as Sora adjusted the sleeve where the wound was there could be see a long thin scar running all the way up his arm in a spiral way. Like...like he was wrapped with a barbed rope or something.

One eyebrow shot up.
I'd seen scars like that on Lea - scars he never talked about, because in many ways, they still hurt him.
"Looks like a nasty one," I said neutrally.

Shiki looked at the scar and then back at him, "Are you sure you're okay?" She couldn't help but ask.

Sora looked down at his sleeve and nodded, "it's fine, just reopens from time to time."
He looked down at the papers in front of him, clearly getting to business. "What do we got?"

I return back out listing things off in my head and with a clip board and a sheet of paper. Scribbling things down I nod in agreement with Sora's question as I take out my phone and sigh, just got a text loaded with information from Shiki, stuff I needed at least. I add that stuff to my list, twisting and working things in my brain.

Aqua's eyes had widened when she saw what Sora was writing off as nothing, she opened her mouth to say something, but Shiki beat her to it and now she sits there feeling useless.

Shiki tapped her fingers against the arm of the couch, waiting for more replies and talking to multiple people at once. One thing you really didn't realize until times like this: people sure did have busy schedules. More dedicated members were willing to drop something, others not so much. Some she knew didn't really have anything to do and were complaining. No surprise there.
She sent whatever she could to Namine, adding whatever she knew onto it to help out the Coordinator. The more information she had, the easier this whole thing would be. She sighed and mumbled something that sounded like her complaining about people needing to get off their lazy asses and help.

I watched as the two newest members of the Urbadelphia chapter got to work.
Things were running smoothly again, and I began to grin.
"We don't have much now, Sora, so let's take a look at this list of core abilities... but the way things are going, we'll have a meeting time in a matter of hours. And this time... something is actually going to get done."

Aqua sighs and looks over to Neku, "Any thing I can help with?" She just... The KIDS are doing so much and well... She just doesn't feel right about it.

I looked at her; she had that helpless look, the one where you're watching everything happen around you, and there's nothing you can do about it.
It sucks. Trust me; I know from experience. I thought for a moment, then grinned.
"Actually, I think there is something you can do," I said. "You're pretty experienced at this, right? I'm going to draft you as a support person. You're good with first aid, right? So why don't you help us out, patch us up. From what I've seen, you're also good at adapting to a changing situation. So I'll be moving you around as new things come up."
Mr. H had done that with people, put them in all kinds of difficult situations to see where they fit best, and how well they stood up under pressure. I'm not good at that - I'm not good at 'testing' people, but I am good at putting them where they're needed.
"We need you, Aqua." I looked around the room. A leader I'm not, but these were good people, and with people like them, I didn't need to be a leader, because I had people who had my back. If I didn't have people like that, the world would be screwed.
