Sora scoffed at the name, "How can I not? Izaya Orihara, caused quite an uproar years ago, got on the bad side of the Devil for awhile. Not sure on the details, but he claims he will stay out of his way now. First rule I was told about being a Rider, never approach him, never listen to him, never even consider his existence. The price for his information is too much."
Now he was concerned, "Why?"

Shit.
"He called me the other day; wanted to make a deal with me. He offered all the information about Sin and my parents and of course he gave me his little price. I told him I'd think about it, so he gave me three days. This is day two."
Her voice got noticeably quieter, "And he said some things that have gotten under my skin."

Sora spun around in his chair and looked at her, his calm demeanor suddenly wide eyed and panicked. "What? What things did he say, did he hurt you or anything?!"

She jumped at his sudden change and stared at him surprised for a moment. Shiki stared at him as she replied, "He didn't hurt me. He said..." She downcasted her eyes, "He said 'everyone who is involved with you is going to die'. And more stuff along those lines."

Sora stared at her for a moment before he scoffed, "He is a word game master, he's playing you Shiki. Even if his words COULD be true, it's just his ploy to rope you in some deal."
He placed his arms on her shoulders, "It's not worth it Shiki, too many people fell to his consequences."

"But what if it is true? What if there's a way I can get out of this whole thing with my uncle? I know he's a demon, I know he can't be trusted but I just...I just don't know! Sora this whole thing is driving me crazy!" She took a deep breath, trying to keep herself calm, though it was clear she was afraid.

Worse was coming to past, she was freaking out...in a way she reminded Sora of himself, the hopelessness he felt upon learning his future. In times like that, he NEVER had that comforting shoulder.
That changes today. He pulled her into a comforting hug and held tight until she was calmed down.
"That isn't going to happen Shiki, nothing will happen as long as I am Ghost Rider..."

Without thinking she hugged him back, trying to force the panic attack away. Her first thought was that this was strange; she didn't expect him to do this. But honestly, she didn't mind; he cared that she was scared out of her wits. The comfort worked; she was able to calm herself down enough so she could speak and her voice wouldn't crack, "Can you promise me that nothing Izaya says is going to happen?" Please say it won't.

Sora wasn't used to making promises so quickly, but he found himself making them anyway.
"I will make sure, let Izaya spout off his mind games...it's all they are, mind games. Your uncle or him won't have his way. Just stay away from Izaya Shiki, I mean it..."

She said nothing for a moment and then nodded her head against him, "I won't. I won't make the deal." Shiki then pulled away from him. They're just mind games.

When she pulled away Sora hard a focused expression on, "If this happens again, Izaya is gonna get a visit from Rider...and he won't have time to play his games on him."

Rather than agreeing Sora narrowed his eyes, "No. No where near Izaya means no where near Izaya. Period. Getting near him is another chance for him to get in your head."

Sora frowned, he did not think of that, but he recovered quickly by writing down a number and handing it to her.
"Dial this number, you don't have to speak. Just by dialing this number is enough. I'll know you're in danger and I'll be on my way."
