I knocked on Noctis' door after I paid Izaya and the landlady a visit. I felt this urge to yell at him for what he did.
When he didn't answer I took the key I got off the landlady out of my pocket and opened the door. Empty. I closed the door partially and sat down on his couch. Getting himself in Izaya's debt for my sake? What was he thinking? I tried to keep myself contained, calm, like I was here for nothing more then a friendly chat.
I heard footsteps down the hall and took a deep breath and leaned back, arms spread across the back of the couch. He was going to pay for getting himself in so much trouble for something he wasn't even involved in.

Noctis was just getting back from the Veil, running his fingers through his dark hair as he approached the door as he quickly noticed that it was open. His wariness immediately kicked in and he slowed, quietly approaching the door and peering around the door frame to look inside. He relaxed a bit as he noticed a familiar head of blonde hair and stepped fully inside. "How'd you get in?" He asked as he walked in, closing the door behind him before making his way to his room so that he could change out of his uniform.

"The landlady is a lightweight." I held up the key and pocketed it again. I stood up and walked over by him.
"On another topic though..." I turned him around to face me and slapped him and began to yell. "What the hell were you thinking making deals with Izaya on my behalf?! I never asked you to be involved and you shouldn't be involved! Stay out of this, Noctis!" My hands coiled into fist and I looked him dead in the eyes. "Vakarian is my problem. If there is any debt, I should be the one to pay it." I practically growled the last line to him.
I had nothing more to yell at him but I felt like I wasn't finished screaming at him yet.

Noctis wasn't exactly surprised at Aya's methods of obtaining the spare key, there were rumours all throughout the building of the landlady being a former alcoholic. However he hadn't been expecting the girl he'd come to view as a friend suddenly grab his shoulder, turn him around and slap him. The contact instantly caused her updated memories since the last time this had occurred to flood his head. His eyes blazed red due to both the memories as well as the adrenaline caused by being struck. He narrowed his eyes and stayed silent through her tirade. Once she was finished he gripped her shoulders and pushed her back against the wall, gathering her wrists in one hand and pinning them against the wall above her head so that she couldn't slap him again.
"It's called trying to help, or are you unfamiliar with the idea that someone might actually be trying to make your life easier?! Yes, they're your bloody problems but have you ever thought that you didn't have to deal with them alone?! So now, let me guess, in order to get my name revealed you got yourself in debt. Now we're both in debt to that creep, where's the logic behind that?!" His eyes still blazed red, almost seeming to glow with the sinister light. "I took on the debt in your place because that's what friends do." He finished with a growling tone of voice, clearly upset with the blonde he had pinned to the wall.

Shock hit me when I was pinned to the wall, far off memories starting to claw into my head again. "And guilt is a way of making life easier? That is all you are doing for me, making me feel guilty about getting you into something that could potentially kill you!" I tried to pull my arms away from him but he was stronger then me sadly.
"I don't want you involved in this Noctis! You could end up walking right into that person's hands and Izaya wouldn't care. Izaya could send you to your death and he wouldn't care. I can't let it be for me. I can't stand anymore guilt Noctis, if you can get into my head so easily, I figured you'd be able to figure that out." My voiced hushed and cracked near the end. "I don't have anything left to lose. Look at me, I do things purposely bad for me, I have no family and barely anyone to call a friend. I have nothing." I dropped my head and looked at my feet. "You still have a chance for your family. Don't lose it." My voice gave out on me and the weight of the world seemed to weigh down on the two of us. I couldn't stand it, but I tried to get back to my neutral state. I was weak and pathetic but he didn't need to know that.

Noctis listened to what she had to say, keeping his grip on her wrists tight until she had finally finished but didn't let go. He sighed deeply and glanced off to the side before looking back to her hanging head. "Well, I suppose that there's nothing to be done for it now. I guess we had might was well make sure that we both make it out of this. So there's one upside, at least." He said, adjusting the grip of one hand on her wrists while bracing his other against the wall next to her so that his full weight wasn't leaning on where he had pinned her.

A throat cleared from the doorway; the door had swung silently open during the argument, and Lea had been passing by; he'd seen Noctis with Aya pinned against the wall, was about to go kick his ass, when he'd heard the last half of Aya's rant.
"I don't have anything left to lose. Look at me, I do things purposely bad for me, I have no family and barely anyone to call a friend. I have nothing."
He didn't even really know why he'd cleared his throat. He understood.
Nothing.
He started to turn away and leave.

I stood there silently, even when Lea made his presence known, I didn't bother to look. Shame flooded me and I couldn't hold back the tears.
I tried to hide it though, No one needed to see me like this. 'Silly child, look what you did? Do you want to be alone forever?'... 'Alone means away from people who would hurt you... Away from you Daddy...' Two years and he still won't leave me be. I deserved this though. How could I not?

Noctis looked towards the door as he heard the throat clear, cursing himself silently as he realized that this would not look good. However at Aya's words his face fell and he left. Noctis sighed and let go of Aya's wrists, this was certainly a mess. One that Aya could hopefully fix. "Alright, come on you." He said, giving her shoulder a little tug so that he could lead her over to the couch.

He heard her crying; she was trying to be silent about it, but she wasn't succeeding.
He turned back around.
Goddammit. He couldn't stand it when girls cried. And he should've known she wasn't talking about him. He knew what it was like to be alone.
"Aya," he said, "what happened? I didn't... I didn't hear it all. Are you alright?" He glared at Noctis. "I don't think you hurt her. Did you?"
His tone promised bad things if he turned out to be wrong.

I felt numb and barely noticed that I was getting led over to the couch until I was sitting on it. I couldn't say anything for a while until the silence was overwhelming. "No he didn't hurt me." I wiped the tears away and stared at my feet.
"What happened though," I looked to Noctis for permission on how much to say. "Do you mind?"

Noctis led Aya over, making sure that she was seated before stepping towards the kitchen to get her something to drink just as Lea came in. An offended look crossed his face as Lea all but accused him and he opened his mouth to defend himself before Aya did it for him, causing the black haired man to look back over his shoulder at her. As she asked for permission to tell Lea, he nodded before speaking to Lea. "You might want to sit down for this."

"I'd like in on this." Riku said as he walked in and looked at Noctis. "Miss me? Hey Lea." He took at seat proceeded to get comfortable.

Lea was not in the mood for this.
"Last I checked," he said in a voice as icy as his rage was hot, "this was a private residence. Furthermore, you have no reason to be here, as this is a private discussion. I don't know where the hell you moved here from, but last I checked, people didn't listen in on the conversations of complete strangers, then walk into their homes without permission and make themselves comfortable, simply because the door was open. Last I checked? That was considered goddamn rude. So I'll thank you to stand up, and get your ass out of this room, and I'll close and lock the door, like I was in the process of doing when you waltzed in here, poking your nose into business that isn't yours!"
Usually, Lea would probably have been nicer about it - after all, Riku had likely heard the commotion and been concerned, just as he had been. However, Aya wasn't Riku's problem - he had never even met the blonde. Neither was Noctis, for all that they'd fought together once or twice.
And just the... cold, casual way that he acted about it, it just set Lea off. Small sparks crackled in the air around him, and he mentally stomped down on his rage, the hot fire that burned inside.
((Hey, Riku - Lea is yelling at you in-character about this, but, can you please try and make sure it makes sense when you join a thread? Also, this thread isn't open. I know there's no names in the title, so it's not explicitly private, but there's a plot planned out here around these three characters, so next time you see something like this and it looks intense, can you please make sure you ask before joining?))

Noctis was so focused upon the events transpiring between Aya, Lea and himself that he didn't notice Riku's approach until he heard the footsteps against the hardwood floors as the other man marched into his apartment. Alarm rose suddenly and he turned quickly to look at the intruder, his irises turning red once more as adrenaline rushed through his veins. He calmed slightly as he saw who it was that was just now walking into his apartment and making himself at home on Noctis' couch. While Noctis didn't have anything against Riku he had to admit that this wasn't the best time for the man to show up, especially considering the sensitive information that Aya was about to reveal. The less people that knew about it, the better. He sighed slightly and glanced nervously at his door, musing that he would have to get another lock for the door...the door already had three sturdy locks on it.
