Lea understood. He understood what the poor kid meant - understood, in those few words, the concept of what was living in the blonde's head. He'd lived for thirteen years under the gaze of someone who 'knew everyone'. He could see Neku about to speak, but he shook his head, cutting the Head off.
Lea reached out, put a hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry," he said, and meant it. "We'll know it wasn't you." His eyes were understanding; his voice was soft. "ANd if it does ever happen - don't blame yourself for it." Other people's choices were their own; it was a lesson he still had a hard time remembering.
"Anyway," he said, grinning. "If you need a place to stay, you can room with me for a while. Or you could get a room on Shade Street, they're a decent place."

Roxas looked up at Lea with a smile but inwardly he simply remembered what little he could of when Ave had last broken free... Blood gushing everywhere, swords singing a glorious tale of victory and destruction, and the throbbing headache that he had afterwards. "Thanks... It's just that, well, he can be a bit brutal from what I can remember properly..."
He nodded at Lea's offer "Either's fine by me, I mean, I don't want to be a burden on anyone!"

He grinned.
"Nah, it's no burden. I've been looking for a roomie for a while, really." He stepped back to lean against the wall the table was situated next to. "So, got any more questions for the Boss? Come on, you haven't even gotten to the good part of the exposition yet."

"Well, thanks!" he said cheerily with a grin back at Lea before turning to Lea
"Honestly, I don't really have any more questions, none are coming to mind... But, I do remember you saying that you have the answers to questions I've not even asked yet..?"

I nodded.
"Kind of a cryptic way to say it, but hey - the business we're in, I guess you can forgive me for being a little over-theatric." I chuckled.
"Anyway, first things first, you're probably interested in knowing more about the Network." I grinned; he probably figured he already knew all there was to know.
"I already told you that we're a sort of support group for Otherborn. What you probably don't know is that the Network is also a loosely-put-together, but highly-organized, secret organization that spans the United States. Become a member, you get put on the list. You're assigned to a Contact who knows how to get in touch with you, if we ever need you, and who you can use to talk to us. We're loosely-organized, but we have a structure. We also are the ones who kick demons' asses back to where they come from."
I chuckled.
"Whether you join the missions or not is your choice, except in time of emergency, but the Network has your back. That's the most important thing about us. The only rules are the ones the Head of your area creates; here in Urbadelphia, that's me. Watchers are the ones who scout out new recruits, gather intel on demons, and lead charges into battle. Coordinators organize missions and supply routes, as well as food dumps and safehouses in case of trouble. Contacts act as liaisons between members and the Watcher hierarchy. We're efficient and well-organized, especially in this city." My grin just got wider, while Lea looked a little bit smug. I'd like to think we had reason to be proud.
"The next thing you probably don't know is that Urbadelphia itself is pretty much the Network's home base, the whole city. It's evidently been a center of a lot of Otherworldly activity throughout its entire history, and it's been known to attract weirdness of every variety. Otherborn and Halfers flock to this town like flies... and it's a safe haven for everything seeking safety. In Urbadelphia, the mundane underground and the Otherworldly underground have mixed. This place is saturated with the Otherworldly." I glanced back at Lea. "It's a city of refugees and loners. But it's also the place that we regulate the strongest. Racism is the one big no-no here in Urbadelphia, and if you ever have a problem, the Network can and will deal with it." My eyes were hard. "This club especially; it's a neutral meeting ground for people like us, and this back room is a safehouse if you should ever need one. The owner of Veil is a woman named Tifa Strife, and she'll take care of you if you need it."
I stopped and took a deep breath.
"You want to know more? Have any specific questions?"

Roxas paused for a moment, waiting for a question to spring to mind, but nothing came immediately. Standing up he looked across at Neku and gave him a smile. He had a feeling that this whole group would be connected by phone and the internet and he'd planned accordingly. Reaching into his pocket he pulled out a sliver of paper with the number to his cell on it and held it out for Neku to take "I have a feeling you'll be wanting this?" he asked "Because, I know everything I think I need to know."

I found myself grinning.
"I like you," I admitted. "You're prepared, you've got a brain, and you don't seem like the kind of person who expects other people to do everything for you." I took the iece of paper with his number on it. "There is one more thing, which is the emergency codes. Likely, you won't see one for a very long time, but..."
I ran him throuh the meanings of the three codes, then inut his number in my phone.
"There. You'll be sent off to a Contact shortly. Lea... you oughtta show him over to your place."
