Shiki reached an arm around Namine, gently so she wouldn't hurt her. "I'm not going to lie, Angel hurting you really pisses me off. But I still pity him...that I can't help but feel. Listen Namine...he doesn't own you. No one owns you."
She paused, "Do you want the old Angel back? Is there anyway to...surpress it?"

I curl into Shiki's embrace, "I do, I want the old Angel back... But at the same time... I want to move on, I want to be..." With Neku. I just manage to finish silently before piercing pain shoots through me. Whatever Aqua was doing she was hurting Angel.
"I-I-I wish- AH!" My eyes squeeze shut and I cry out. I can feel every mental blow, every physical hit rocking through my body, his pain is my pain. "... Ang... ANGEL! I'm... Aqua needs to... To stop!" My teeth clench and I gasp for air, I don't care about me being in pain, I don't care I've been hurt, but she's doing this to MY ANGEL!
"... I'm so sorry, Shi-! Make it stop!!"

It only took those last three words to shake her from any doubt of leaving. "I will, I promise." She untangled her arm from around Namine and got to her feet and raced to the door. Her hand on the doorknob, she looked back once at the blond and then bolted. Thousands of thoughts could have clouded her mind, such as how she was going to stop them from fighting. But her focus was stuck on one thing: Finding them and helping Namine. Remembering what Aqua had said, Shiki directed herself towards Namine's house, hoping they were there.

It didn't take Shiki long to find them, as a matter of fact they weren't very far up road. Just barely in what could be considered the outskirts of town. Aqua had Angel pinned to the ground by now, her shoe just barely holding the struggling and hissing blond down.
"I'm only going to say this once, Angel," She grounds as her weight gets pressed harder on him. "Do something reckless like this again and I swear! You're head comes off!!"
She then gets up and starts walking away when she hears laughter behind her. Whirling around she demands to know what's so funny. Out of the corner of her eye she had seen Shiki, but in this moment the only thing that mattered was getting inside this sicko's head and braking him down until he can't fight anymore.

He couldn't help but laugh at the thought of losing his head. Its quite obvious that Aqua doesn't know what that would do to Namine. He first sat up and then stood, brushing stray snow off of him. His Chesire grin creeping up and you can tell that he's off his sanity rocker again, "Now, now Aqua... Namine feels anything I do... Do you even know the pain you've already put her through... Did you ever consider the fact that I beat her to make her stronger, to make her realize that my pain isn't real, that if she really wanted to she could push it aside... Its not the same as it actually happening to her."
He then cocks his head to the side, noting Aqua's increased anger and her defensive stance, "No... I don't think you did..." He laughs again and then, looking to his feet, he frowns. "I'm protecting her from the cold and cruel world, the one I live in. But try as I might... She can't stop herself from wanting what is unsafe, what will harm her in the end... Love is one example and kindness is another." He nods to them, Aqua and Shiki, before beginning to recede backwards.
"Now I must take my leave... Oh and I'll send someone over with her stuff," He smirks. "Tell her that Angel wants her to be safe and running away isn't the answer and to think a little harder about what she really wants."

Shiki's reaction isn't hard to understand. As Angel walked away she simply stood there, unsure of what to say. She definetly did not understand him at all. Most likely, she never would. But the fight looked to be over and that seemed to be a good thing. "Um...Aqua?" It was the only thing she could think to say.

At Shiki's words Aqua is snapped from her trail of suddenly confused thoughts. She looks to the girl with a smile and walks over to her, placing an arm over her shoulders, "Lets get back into the warmth... You're spending the night tonight, honey."

Shiki didn't bother arguing, "Okay." Even if she did go home, there was no way she would be able to sleep without worrying about both her friends. So she simply nodded, and began to walk back to the house with Aqua.

Aqua lead them home in silence and was surprised when Namine jumps upon them both, sobbing her heart out to them. The mother can't seem to comfort the girl as she clings more to Shiki and sobs out things in french. Aqua smiles after a moment, deciding then to help both the girls to the couch after she sets it up as a bed, "Anyone hungry? I can make food."

Shiki looked up from comforting Namine and shook her head, "I'm fine." She looked back to her blond friend and gave her a smile, "How about you?"

I shake my head no, I'm not hungry, just sad. I feel as if my heart is braking in two. Why do I feel this way? It hurts and I want it to stop. I cling to Shiki and pull us under a blanket, hoping she doesn't mind. But right now all I want to do is feel safe and wanted. And I do in Shiki's arms. Soon enough I cry hard enough to put me in a deep sleep and of course I'm fine with that, in the deep of a sleep nothing can hurt me, not even memories.
And I can still feel Shiki's warm arms around me, like the sister I've always wanted, wished I could be.
".... Love you, Shik..."

Shiki held Namine, figuring it was the best she could do for her. Just like before, at Namine's words she paused. But this time, she easily responded back. "Love you too, Nami." She lay awake for a while, her thoughts turning over the night's events. But soon she too closed her eyes and accepted sleep when it finally came.

Aqua was the only one awake when the scratching came at her door. She opened it and found three large boxes waiting for for. Next to it a letter that says To Neku. She frowns and picks them all up, setting them inside. Poking her head out one last time she sees a small, dark purple demon racing into the darkness.
"Is that what he... No..." She shakes her head and then goes around and puts out her candles like she always does and then curls up with her girls. Soon enough sleep found her as well, although before she fell asleep she promised herself to find a place for Namine to stay... And from the looks of the letter's address Angel wanted Namine to move in with Neku... She doesn't have a chance to ponder this as her mind completely slips into a comfortable slumber.
