I grabbed some special incendiary rounds and reloaded, waiting for Shiki to yell three. When she did I shot more at the creature and as the bullets landed, they began to burn. I didn't expect them to burn to this degree though and looked down at the blonde girl. Was she doing this? Thankfully she was on our side and I continued to shoot as fast as I could in the most vital places I could hit.

The moment Shiki came to the end of the count Noctis dashed towards the creature, swinging his blade into its flesh though it sank deeper than it would have normally. He quickly glanced towards the newest arrival but decided simply to be grateful as he freed the blade and kept attacking.

At the end of the count, I struck out again with the blast of vocanic force; it didn't seem to tire me as much as it should have, and the blast was larger than I could have hoped. I turned toward the new girl; she seemed to be concentrating, but not attacking,a nd I realized - the extra boost must have come from her.

Their synchronized attacks did it, and the demon howled in pain before disintegrating before the group. No other demons appeared, leaving only a few left around them. But they seemed to have been weakened due to their leaders destruction. They wouldn't be much of a problem.
Shiki struck down one of the remaining demons and then smiled in triumph. "Looks like we win again!"

Giving a weak smile I drop to my knees for a moment, panting. If they though the blow took a lot from them and then gave a lot onto the demon, it exhausted me. I had no idea how each of them worked yet. I think I could of supplied a little less and the same effect would of happened, but what ever.
Panting for air I continue to smile, "Th... that was... Great!"

Our helper didn't look so good; the demons were pretty much gone now and I could feel the world shift back towards reality; another Crossing averted. I walked over to her and held out a hand.
"You doing okay?" I asked. "Try not to overdo it."

One of the boys, the telekinetic, comes over and holds out his hand for me to take. Grasping onto it he helps me up, "Thanks... I'll remember that in the future. Namine by the way."

Noctis helped to finish off the stragglers as the world shifted back into reality, cleaning the blade of his sword once it was done and sliding it back into the sheath on his back. He nodded to the others in thanks before looking back to the girl that had been boosting their abilities and walked over. She certainly looked exhausted at the very least.

I shot down a few of the remaining demons and looked back at the girl. I was about to scold her but figured that now isn't the time for that. "I'm Aya. Namine, take it easy next time. Demons love easy prey and a passed out girl is definitely easy prey." I didn't say that so much to scold her or scare her, just to inform her. "Lets get her somewhere she can rest for a bit in peace." I thought about various places but nowhere seems peaceful in this town. No matter where we go, there are still chances of a crossing.

Noctis looked towards Aya as she told the girl about the demon's preference to easy prey before suggesting that they get Namine somewhere safe. "I have an apartment nearby, it's not much but it should be safe enough." He answered before motioning towards an apartment building a few streets over. "She can rest there for now."

Shiki walked over to the girl, Namine she said her name was. Noctis suggested his place for her to rest, and she figured that was good. The girl had helped them out, the least they, or at least Shiki could do, was return the favor. Everyone seemed to want that anyway.
She looked at the Namine, concern glinting in her eyes. "Can you walk? You're not going to pass out on us on the way there?"

"I'll be fine," I says warmly. "Some water and a few minutes of rest and I'll be fine." Of course I'm going to make myself walk on my own, I'm thankful for their thoughtfulness, but I don't want to look THAT weak in their eyes.
"I think I can walk." And I would move to walk, but my legs feel like jello, so I decide to let the others head off first. "Would it be alright if we finished introductions there?"

I nodded. "Here," I said, using my abilities to stabilize her a little. "You look a little weak on your feet - like I do when I use too many of those blasts I used back there." I hoped that if I sympathized a bit, she wouldn't feel too embarrassed. I know what it's like to not want to seem weak to others.
