Sora expected a few things, this was not one of them. He nearly jumped when she leaned against him, her gestures and position perfectly relaxed and content. His mouth felt dry, for the first time in awhile he wasn't sure what to do.
"What are we doing?" he asked her.

"You want me to say something cheesy like following our hearts? Who hasn't used that line?" She sighed quietly, "I really don't know." Is this right? Shiki had the sudden thought that if this ended badly they'd never be the same around each other again. It would be so awkward. This was a risk and she knew that. What other chance would she have to take it? Maybe never and that scared her more.
"Sora, are we...making a mistake?" She pressed her lips together nervously.

Okay, just say it. Never a better time than now. Shiki's heart pounded quickly, nervousness over taking her. Could she really do this? It was all a risk, a gamble. It could go either way. If she messed up everything would fall and...and... Just say it!
She took a breath and let out the truth to him, "Well I...I was...I was hoping we were doing the right thing."

Sora felt his throat dry, he couldn't not look at her face now. He slowly turned her around to face him and found words caught in his throat, he couldn't speak, he only could look at her face. Then he leaned in, slowly, moving at a steady pace until he was close to her face...close to her lips...just as they were about to meet-
Shiki's phone began to rumble, the sound pulled Sora back in shock. He cleared his throat uncomfortably and put his hands in his pockets.

Of all the available minutes people could call her, why did it have to be then? Oh come ON! She blushed and turned her head to the side when he moved back, and then answered her phone. She didn't think to check the ID. "Hello?" It took her two tries to get the word out, Shiki was still a little shocked.

"So you're Sora's little playmate?" A voice spoke into the phone, "His ex was prettier though, naughtier too man the things they did...but I digress."
The voice was unfamiliar, unheard of, someone she had never met.

"Ahhh, all in due time. Just an old...acquaintance if you will of Sora's. I'll be seeing him very soon of course, enjoy your romance, it may be the last one either of you will have."
The phone clicked off.

Shiki pulled the phone from her ear and stared at it bewildered. That sounded like a pure threat. And a very disturbing one at that. She shut it and then looked to Sora, "You've got more explaining to do."

"No, I actually don't know who it was. They told me they were an acquaintance of yours and that they'd be seeing you soon. And um...they mentioned an ex girlfriend. Which turned to threatening about enjoying my last romance...and yours." The last part had her blushing a little but she rose an eyebrow, "Sound familiar?"

Sora was confused, "I have a lot of enemies Shiki...only a few would have known about my ex."
He trailed off, something like this he was afraid of, "Shiki...I want this to be the right thing but...with stuff like this happening, how can this be right? Putting you in danger like this."

Shiki looked off to the side and mumbled, "Well it looks like we're even now, don't you think?" She was completely annoyed by whoever this person was, and obviously he was dangerous or else Sora wouldn't be saying what he was. It still pissed her off. First Sin ruins things for her and now this guy. Who was it going to be next?

"Even?" Sora blinked, before shaking his head. "I don't mean to sound arrogant, but I am one of the strongest beings currently in existence. I can match up to demons, I can handle Sin. But..."
He paused, "Damnit...I don't mean to call you weak or anything but my enemies are dangerous, very dangerous too. The Network hasn't seen anything like these monsters, things that wander the precipice with Otherborns. I...I just don't want my enemies using you as bait for me."
