Urbadelphia. A city of paranormal violence and death, outcasts and miscreants, usually full of blood and danger. Tonight was quiet though...
...until a large crash-like sound was heard, shattering the peace in that 'so-saw-it-coming' way. The crash came from a car that was completely flipped on the roadway, a trail of fire leading from the car to the roadway. The fire did not come from the car though, it came from a motorcyle...that glowed with red fire.
Ghost Rider stepped off his motorcycle and walked slowly to the car, where the group of criminals were slowly getting out of the wreck.

Well if a sound that reminded you of a bomb going off didn't attract you to the area, what did? Shiki turned around sharply from where she was walking and after a moment she frowned and hurried to investigate. Upon seeing a car of people in a wreck and with Sora there in Ghost Rider form, she could only manage to call out one thing, "What are you doing?!"

Ghost Rider stopped at the yell, his head twitching oddly...before the doors burst open and the criminals staggered out. One held out a pistol and fired at him, yelling, "Die you monster!"
The bullets impacted against Ghost Rider...but seemly did nothing. He unhooked his flail and swung it at him, the hellfire chain sliced through the robber and burned him to ashes instantly.
"Oh shit, shitshitshitshitshit!" One robber tried to turn and run away, yet he swung the chain at him too and the same thing happened.

Her jaw dropped in surprise and she stared at Sora like he was insane. Which at the moment that was very much her opinion. He just...killed them off? Shiki had caught onto the fact that these people weren't innocent...but still!
Anger rose in her and she moved so that she was near those remaining, a crazy act but she wasn't questioning her actions at the moment. "Hey! You can't just kill them like that!" She crossed her arms, yet her posture showed that if any of them made a move towards her she'd react to it.

Ghost Rider turned to her... and roared at her, however there was a sound of the car door being opened on the other side of the car. A man stumbled out, a round object in his hand: a grenade. Before Ghost Rider could react the man pulled the pin and threw it at him, he had to move fast.
He ran to Shiki and grabbed her, wrapping his entire body around her: a human shield. The grenade blew, frags shot out and pierced multiple parts of Ghost Rider's body: his roar was one of pain.

Okay, she had been angry before. But now, now she was pissed. Once everything had settled from the grenade Shiki broke from Sora and turned to face the criminals. She swung her hand, flames jumping from it and out towards them. Oh how she hoped that they were burned since she could not deal out death.

The guy with the grenade was just about to make a break for it when Shiki's fire shot out at him. The fire did swallow the man, however from next to Shiki the hellfire chain swung out and disintegrated him completely. Dealing with the last of the criminals, Ghost Rider's head began to be covered in black smoke until the flames went out. Soon the smoke cleared to show Sora Shimomura, reverted back to human form.
"Shiki, what are..." he then saw the scattered ashes and figured out what happened, and what she saw, "Aw hell."

She placed her hands on her hips, "Yeah. That's why I'm here, if I'm answering your question right." She narrowed her eyes, "Now I hope you've got a good explanation as to why those people were killed instead of being hauled off to jail or something. They're not the same as demons."

Sora looked at her for a moment before turning his back on her, "None of your business."
He attempted to walk away, but found his wounds as Ghost Rider left bruises for his human form. So he more like...tried to drag himself away.

An annoyed comment almost left her mouth when she realized he was hurt. Instead she walked up to him and took hold of his jacket sleeve to make him wait, "Your injuries are kind of my fault...sorry. Don't tell me you're okay because you look like you're about to fall over." She was quiet and then asked, "Anything I can do to help?"

Sora stopped short, he didn't turn to face her, his breath ragged.
"Just...stay back, stay away..."
His head would twitch every now and then, his hand would begin to let out plumes of black smoke and for a brief second catch flame. Sora seemly was transforming back into Ghost Rider, but he was trying to fight it.

Whether it was because she was stubborn or the fact that she felt like not listening had already caused enough problems, she let go of him. But other than that Shiki didn't move. "Sora..." Her tone had a warning to it, she wasn't afraid only worried.

Sora's body was twitching, but he seemed to be in control...for a second. Then suddenly he began shaking rapidly, demonic growls emitting as his face kept shifting from smoke and fire. He leaned against a building wall and slowly lowered himself until he was sitting, quickly the smoke and fire vanished...
leaving only Sora, shaking, like...like he was cold. The twitching stopped, the plumes of smoke vanished as well. It had finally stopped.

She knelt down beside him, placed a hand on his shoulder. At first she'd been momentarily frightened, but not anymore. Her expression was nothing but concern, she bit her lip before she spoke, "Once again...don't tell me you're okay." She paused and gave his shoulder a gentle squeeze, "Do I...get an explanation for that?"

Sora made a movement that seemed like he was afraid of her touch, truth was he was adored it...if this scene wasn't happening.
"...happens to all Riders...eventually...the spirit gains more dominance over the host...Zarathos, the Spirit of Vengeance."
He paused for a moment before continuing me, "The past of Ghost Rider a curse Shiki, not a gift, a curse. Soon, soon the Rider will be punishing all sins, any sins, anything someone feels guilty about: big or small. It was deal an absolute punishment to that person."
