"A relative, huh?" He asked flicking the cigarette to the ground and grinding it to ash with his heel, before thrusting his hands into his pockets, taking a casual stance. "Not much to tell really." He admitted bluntly. "I get angry, I hit things, things go flying. That's about it really. Don't like it, but can't help it." He shrugged as if sending things such as vending machines, cars and trucks flying across the skyline were a relatively normal occurance in the world.

"Mmmm," She glances over to Shizuo before her smile droops into a line of indifference. "Hello, Shizuo, I am Destani... You and Aqua are acquainted I heard."

Shizuo reached to the back of his neck, scratching it awkwardly before giving another shrug, this one looking relatively less casual.
"I-er... I suppose you could say that, yeah..." He let his hand drop back into his pocket before narrowing his eyes at Destani, he had this ever-growing feeling that this was going to be a very long night.
"What relation are you to Aqua..?" He asked, almost suspiciously.

"I am her mother," She says calmly and with a warm smile that creeps its way onto her face.

"Turn around. Walk away. Hide in the nearest trash can and don't come out until some kind of nuclear apocalypse takes place." Unfortunately, Shizuo's fee were unwilling to follow his minds orders, and he found himself rooted to the spot. He wasn't much of a blusher, but he could feel his ears burning all the same. Most guys were usually introduced to their girlfriends mothers, they didn't bump into them in the street and get the feeling they were being examined like a cut of meat.
"I see..." He muttered, his expression unflinching despite his burning ears. "Aqua's never really talked about you, actually... I don't remember her mentioning you at all. Family has always been a bit of a touchy subject for Aqua, or so I think."

"She didn't, well, that's..." What can she say, she won't be the mother Aqua remembers, as a matter of fact she isn't the female's physical mother, rather her spiritual one. "... Surprising... Has something happened?"

Shizuo assumed that the lack of communication between the two was because of some sort of family split, the kind that ends up with mother and daughter being disenchanted with one another and generally not speaking. The woman before him definitely seemed to have that air about her, the way she spoke, it was like she barely knew Aqua at all. In a sense, it gave Shizuo some confidence and allowed him to cross his arms against his chest. He felt somewhat more in charge and back to his usual self.
He didn't see it as his right to delve into Aqua's personal life, whether this woman was her mother or not. He only had to think of the expression on Aqua's face whenever she mentioned Dia to bring his own mouth to a thin line of regret and even a small amount of shame. Instead, he settled for a rather blunt answer.
"Not for me to say." He said "You'd be better off asking her when she gets back, it should be some time soon."

"Oh, of course," She realizes this man will be of no further use to her, or at least until her darling Aquarius got home, and steps closer to Genesis. "Would you mind showing me around town? I've only just landed here a sparse few moments ago."

I offer a small smile in response. "I've been here no longer than a few weeks, m'lady.. But I do know of some hot spots during sunlight hours. I see no reason why I can not show you around."

She gives a small bow, "I will be forever grateful if you did." She then turns to Lea. "And even more so if you accompanied us... I am really in need to learn of the status of the... what are th..."
She smiles widely and gives a small laugh as she "realizes" something, it sounds just like chimes, but holds the same pattern as Aqua's does. She then gathers herself mentally and nods, "I think you would be able to update me on the Other business I need to catch up on... I've been out of the scene for a long while after all."

Lea grinned. "It'd be my pleasure to accompany you, milady," he said playfully, holding out a hand for her to take.
He would be interested in knowing if she noticed his little 'oddities'. He had no idea how tied to the Otherworld she was - it wasn't often that something stymied his senses so profoundly. SHe smelled a little like the ocean, though; that was something, wasn't it?

"Well aren't you a gentlemen," She beams before taking his hand, not unsettled in the least bit, she's seen worse, heck, she's been worse. We're talking what, forty to fifty foot dragon here, right? Anyways.
Shaking her head she allows her hood to fall back, her own horns from her Guardian form still slightly visible, but are much smaller triangles that have her hair flowing around them. Unlike the rest of her she cannot cover them up except with her hood. And now her slightly glowing eyes are revealed, she smiles at Lea and gives his hand a squeeze as she looks back to Genesis, "Will you please lead the way, Genesis?"

Lea couldn't help but stop and stare, just slightly, before chuckling.
"And the fair lady has out-gambitted me, I see," he replied smoothly. "It's good to meet a fellow pround member of the other 10%."
And yet... there was somethin... not-Halfer-y about her that he couldn't place. Oh, well. It didn't matter - she was being nice, she didn't seem to be trying to kill anyone, and she was related to Aqua. He didn't remember Aqua ever mentioning having demon blood; he certainly hadn't noticed it on her; but it was possible that, if her mother was a Halfer, that Aqua only inherited the human half - which made sense.

"The other ten percent, is that what we're calling it now, Lea?" She asks in a tone that is calm, but in reality she is curious. "How about the none demons? Are they still acting like they're cursed beyond all belief or have they grown out of that and banded together once more?" Her eyes light up at the thought of a group of Otherborns working together like a family, like what she once worked along side a long time ago... She misses those days.

He laughed, a little confused by the statement - just how old was she? - but explained. "Nah, it's just something I like to say. Most Halfers look completely human, right? We're part of the ten percent who don't. Thus, the Other 10%." He shrugged. "As for Otherborn... well, depends on where you're from. In Urbadelphia, we're lucky, 'cause we've got the Network. There's chapters all across the country, of course, but here's where they're headquartered. And the Head, he's a really good guy - he's pretty much halted Halfer discrimination in its tracks, at least here in his own city." He grinned. "There's some chapters out there that won't even let us join, but not here. Here, we're considered just as good as Otherborn, and people can like it or leave."
