The dragon doubleback in pain, rubbing its eye (bad idea). One of its claws scaped against its eye, and it roared louder.
Josh didn't know what to do, but his warrior instincts (or rather, Mars' instincts) kicked in, and he knew that he could weaken it while it was distracted. He raised Clarent and slashed at one of the dragon's wings, tearing it. The dragon stumbled backwards and tumbled to the ground.

"Woah! Hey! OW! Damned violent one, you are!" Her accent was beginning to show through a little bit now. The dragon had begun swinging her around, the swords now technically a part of her arm. She was going to detach them until she saw me glowing. A grey Materia in my forearm had become active. She decided to stay as a distraction. "Come on, you big ugly bloke! It'll take more than that to take out Rin Tezuka!"I shake my head, annoyed at this whole battle. It was taking too long. "Behold, the Knights of the Round!" The materia splits off from my shoulder in several gray lights, taking its shape. It became thirteen armored men, each with different weapons. A sword, a lance, a rod, a mace, a long sword, a hammer, a wand, a trident, a magic staff, a naginata, an axe, another sword wielder, and another with a sword that seemed to glow. "Behold, my most powerful summon..." The first twelve men took off into attack at the now-weakened dragon. Rin detaches her arms and jumps off to run next to Alucard. The thirteenth man stood back, sword raised as if to strike, though there were no targets nearby. The wand wielder began casting Blizzard spells at the dragon's feet, the others finding opportunities to stab or hit whenever possible.

I saw twelve armored men surround the dragon and took this as a chance to talk to the kid because I saw a letter he had and being curious I approached him.
"Hey. Vann was it? I see you've got a letter there. Was it for someone?" I asked.

Vaan looked at Riku and spluttered, "Look, does this have to be discussed NOW?! There's kind of a big-ass dragon ready to kill us!"
He looked at the dragon as it was trying to fend off the armored men and sighed, "Yes, I do have a letter and yes it is for someone."
The dragon attempted to fight off the armored men, the fireball that blasted it's eye did not help it's depth perception. The bites it attempted to make missed each target, backed in a corner...it had one action to make.
Dangerous animals in a corner were the worst kind. The monster had energy running up it's body, a powerful attack was about to be formed.
Vaan turned to the dragon and noted the energy, "That can't be good..."
Vaan.
Vaan turned at the voice, which echoed around him like a ghost.
Vaan, put the girl down and get a weapon - you need to kill that thing now.
Vaan's eyes widened and looked at the dragon as energy began to move up its veins. "How?! Who are you?!"
The energy is building, it will be concentrated at a certain point: stab your weapon at that point - it'll kill the dragon from within.
Vaan looked at the creature and spluttered, "I-"
Vaan! Hurry!
Vaan hesitated briefly before setting the girl down, looking at the creature and growled, "What kind of weapon could I use to-"
As if on cue the rings on the Arms turned to form matching symbols, a light appeared and a lance formed in his hands. Vaan stared at that and nodded, "That'll do."

Sensing the energy build up from the dragon and Vann's lance I placed a field around the dragon.
"Alright Vann, I'm going to open a hole in the field and just as it's about to fire strike it there!"

The Twelve men cornered the dragon, and clearly been concentrating its power now. I point to fingers at the dragon, the symbol of "move" in most militaries. The Twelve instantly jumped back, the Thirteenth's sword glowing a bright gold. He takes a step forward, and vanishes in a golden dash. "The Holy Sword, Excalibur." I grin, moving the two fingers pointed to the floor. The tall armored man swings the sword down hard, creating an arc of brilliant light. As soon as the attack is done, all thirteen men turn gray and return to my body. "There. That should be enough... Blondie over there is doing something." I had noticed the kid with the lance. His powers seemed similar to Rin's. But in this play... I wasn't meant to be the hero. Reaching into my coat, I pull a copy of LOVELESS and turn around. Opening it to the second page, I quietly recite as I walk towards my companions: "There is no hate, only joy
For you are beloved by the goddess
Hero of the dawn, Healer of worlds..." |

"End - Watch the Skies" " Ascension (Main Theme)" "Right." Vaan nodded, not totally sure how this was going to work but had no other options. He charged forward, running to the dragon, tracing the veins to the point where it was gathering - the energy was focusing on the upper portion of the chest. As Vaan was running the voice spoke again. Here, allow me.Some of the discarded pieces of rubble suddenly came to life on their own and formed into a makeshift stairway - allowing Vaan to run up it and leap at the spot. "How did you-" Vaan, questions later, please just hurry!Vaan growled at the disembodied voice and ran up the steps, holding the lance back as he ran to leap in the air. "Open the hole! Now!" |

Josh had been slightly overwelmed by the mix of emotions and thoughts that enveloped his mind when he stuck the dragon. His mind settled, and he saw the stranger set Sophie down. Instictively, he rushed over to her, ensuring he brought his backpack and Clarent with him. He dropped them on the ground beside Sophie (Clarent landing with a *clang*), knelt down, and listened as her breathing was now steady.
He stood and watched as the stranger ran up to the dragon, lance in hand.

Alucard leans forward, revealing his razor-sharp teeth in a smile. "Looks like they found it out! Hahaha... You humans, you Halfers.... Even the OtherBorns... You're all such interesting creatures..." He chuckles a low, dark chuckle as his tipped his hat up. He decides to get a closer look, taking a few steps. I cross his path and hear something about letting the others take the stage. I think he was upset that they took the show from me.
Though it wasn't the case, I only grin as Rin approaches me. "Good work out there, Rin. Keep it up."
She doesn't respond, too entranced by the boy with the lance. I cross my arms and shift my weight to my left leg. "Looks like the dawn of a new hero..."

Vaan leaped, holding the lance downwards as he pulled his arms back. Time almost slowed, for Vaan midair, the dragon realizing Vaan was heading to him, and the energy that had built in it's chest. The lance stabbed through right at the center of that gathering energy, lights shot out of the hole in which the lance made and the dragon began to roar as energy poured through it's scales.
The dragon began to light up like a Christmas Tree, Vaan pulled the lance out of the dragon and began to run. The dragon gave one last echoing roar before it exploded, as it did the Crossing ended, shapes became more calmer and serene and soon they were back in the human world.
...from afar, the armored figure Riku encountered looked upon them.
"A human being did this. Not Half-Demon, not even an Otherborn, but a human." the figure mused.
...the others were finally back in the bus station, a wrecked bus station, but no more demons. Vaan relished in the more calmer scenery and sighed in relief, for now it was over.

"Whoooaaaaahhh!" The fourteen-year-old grinned from ear to ear. "Prodigious! You really showed 'em, kid!" He walked over to Vaan, patted him n the shoulder. "You handled yourself pretty well for a Norm, and those weapons were majorly cool. What's your name?"
He spoke quickly, free hand flicking out a small notebook before his oher hand grabbed a pen and he started writing rapidly, notes or something on how the fight had gone.

Kyoshiro and Minato both dropped down next to the others. Kyoshiro had removed his mask and Minato was now stood in a much more casual position, his hands plunged into his pockets. Both looked across at the young boy who had slayed the dragon, before the blonde Minato looked across at his superior and gave him a small shrug. The General held his mask in hand, but re-clipped it to his belt, he stared hard at Vaan, before nodding at Minato and crossing his arms against his chest.
Minato approached the others with a warm smile on his face, his left hand behind his head. "I've got to admit!" He said as he came forwards. "You guys all handle yourselves pretty well!"

Taking a deep breath Vaan turned to the two that approached him, several things in their sentences caught his attention.
"Vaan, Vaan Shepard." he answered, "What do you mean by a 'norm'?"

Izzy chuckled. "You know... Norm. Normal. Average. Not a single bit Other. If you had powers, you probably would've used them already, even if this was your first Crossing." He plopped himself down on one of the few remaining benches in the station. "So, hence, you did pretty well for a Norm. I'm Koushirou Izumi, but most people call me Izzy." He half-smiled, half-smirked, looking Vaan up and down, still jotting down notes. "Man, it's been interesting since I came back." Then he looked over at the Joto members. "And it's definitely been a while since I've seen you Joto guys. What's been up?"
