Vaan was getting a little annoyed at Shizuo's impatience, and mentally decided to let him pay for the entire bus fair. He turned back to Shiki, "Nah don't-wait, WHAT?!"
He seemed startled, really startled, "Wait you...you and Sora? We're talking about the same guy right? Sora Shimomura?"

"I know, it's a surprise. I didn't even expect it, never pictured him as a romantic." She shrugged, "I know he can be Mr. Tough and Sarcastic but he's not all the time. And he may just want to kill me for saying that." Shiki raised an eyebrow, "Why does it matter though?"

Vaan seemly really shocked, he was happy, but shocked, "You and Sora? We're talking about...I mean he was nice to me, but we're still talking about the world's biggest bull-"
He stopped, the word he wanted to say was 'bully', and it was true. But he then looked at Shiki, appearances were not deceiving in her case: she was a nice sweet girl. If Sora could get a girl like that to like him...maybe he wasn't the same guy he used to know.
"...You know what, nevermind. None of my business." the bus pulled up to their stop and Vaan stepped on, "When we find him, maybe you two can pick up where you left off."
He turned and smiled at them, "Right?"

She smiled, "Yeah...I hope." Then Shiki said, "Okay, relationship time over. Sorry you all had to hear that. Let's get going." Still holding Namine's hand she stepped onto the bus.

Smiling I follow, "Yeah, I hope you two do~." Once on the bus... and having to pay fair because they asked us for it... I then shout back. "All aboard the stopping doomsday expression... aka the one way trip to hell~." Laughing to myself I take a seat and drag Shiki down next to me, laying my head on her shoulder.
Ah.
Good old times.

If only Namine knew...the bus made it's trip to the location and everyone swiftly filed out, as they stood in front of the bank in question Vaan felt a strong sense of unease.
"Guys..."
Vaan looked at the bank windows, which were empty and quiet...no people inside or out, hell, there weren't any birds chirping.
"Something's wrong."

A bomb? Oh that's great... Josh thought to himself.
He turned to Sophie, who had the same expression on her face: worry.
But that didn't matter. They'd just fought two dragons, and a load of demons. What couldn't they handle so far?
(Wow... 'Look at me sounding so sure of myself'... ;) )

He shook his head.
"Fight. There's a fight coming... I can smell it. If there isn't one, it's too easy, and there's something wrong here, just as Vaan says..." A small knife found its way into his hand, nothing that would cause a lot of damage, but knives didn't have to, usually.

Vaan felt their nervous energy and slowly took a step forward, the second he did though the silence made complete sense: cause now they were pulled into a Crossing. Large spikes shot out of the ground, the skies turned red, the bank suddenly became a large tower with holes in it and things flying around it. Howls and screams flooded their ears as the Crossing showed the horrors lying beyond.
Vaan looked around and, whether he meant it or not, said the first words Sora said when he and Aqua had their first Crossing.
"Oh COME on!"

The moment everything changed, Sophie's facial expression changed completely... into unimaginable horror.
She had never seen such things, nor had ever dreamed of them. It reminded her slightly of a 60s horror movie.
Josh, on the other hand, had played his fair share of games, and had experienced moments like these before. It's what developers did to really get you into the game and its story, and try to scare you into being a 'wimp' and chicken out of the fight to come.
(*Cough cough* No offense to the scene... ^^' )

Most people would be cowering in terror, or grimly setting themselves for what was to come, but Izaya was not 'most' people. In fact, depending on your definition of the word, Izaya couldn't truly be counted as 'people' at all. He laughed softly, then more loudly, then more loudly, as shadows began to gather to him, swarming him, surrounding him. Izaya Orihara, after all, was a demon, and it tickled his sense of humor to be pitted against these, such Lesser foes.
"Come now," he said, grinning to show fangs he rarely showed in the daylight world. "Come to meet your better..."
