"Save the apologies for later..." He grunted, his voice a gravelly growl. It wasn't that he was angry or disappointed, simply that when he was powered up like this, he couldn't help but speak in such low tones. He turned slightly, giving Aqua space to use her sword arm, as he brought his left fist across in a hook, shattering another piece of debris. "Hell! Keep them to yourself!"[/i] He caught one of the remaining pieces, and threw it aside. Looking across at Aqua he gave her a devilish grin.
"We all shut down once in a while, don't sweat it! Just keep your focus... I can't protect you forever."[/i]

Shiki went at some of the debris that Neku had stopped in the air, hoping to it would help ease the effort. She saw Aqua tense up and was glad Shizuo got her to get back to the action. Quickly turning her attention back to the debris she sent another stream of fire and destroyed a few more.

"Right, just like Namine said," She takes a deep breath and jumps into the air, throwing her blade, calling it back after it lands a hit and repeating the throw before landing. The boulder brakes into two and she whacks one back. "And I don't except you to, Shizuo... You don't need to." Her body twists to hack another down.
"Should anyone try to get up there? Get rid of him?"

I sense Shiki's fire and then shout, "Upgrade!" And throw an 18th of my power on her, still keeping most of myself shoved heavily onto Neku, aiding him the only way I know how.

"Thanks Nam!" Shiki felt her power enhance and used it while she had it, taking care of some more debris.

Josh held onto Clarent tightly, and slashed at some of the debris.
Sophie was nearing her last string of strength, but hearing someone bring up the Arbiter, she mustered up a little more of her aura and unleashed a wind... toward the Arbiter.

I felt Namine's strength pour through me, and I seized it, grabbing hold of it with my mind and draining it into my soul, holding it there, strengthening myself. I felt the other's grip begin to slip and I snarled as I shoved forward witha ll of my and Namine's strength.
Inside some corner of my mind, I was scared for her, scared she was overdoing it - she'd just passed out a moment ago! - but the rest of me was focused on one purpose, protecting what was mine and destroying that person.
Two purposes, then. Whatever. Right now, I didn't even give a shit about the duality of my thoughts, because they weren't so 'dual' in intentions right now.

Vaan ducked under the rocks as Neku stopped them, changing back to the twin axes he threw one at the Arbiter. Sophie's wind energy actually guided his axe to the Arbiter at a faster speed...
...only to bounce off him harmlessly, a strange white aura around the blackened armor.
"What the-" Vaan began, only for an invisible wave to push him back. As Vaan struggled for footing the floating light spoke.
"With that kind of telekinetic barrier, your attacks can't hit him."
"What do we do now?!" Vaan asked.
"Telekinetics may be strong bastards, but there is one good way to stop them: overwhelm them. If there is too much going on, they cannot focus well enough."
"We're going to need something strong to do that," Vaan said, "or many medium level attacks all at once."
The Arbiter pointed his palm at the group and a literal wave of debris swept to them.
"Like that'll be easy!" Vaan growled, rushing to the side where the wave wasn't formed to dodge.

I heard his statement, and smirked.
"Vaan," I called to him. "I've got a plan; get everyone to ready their strongest attacks; tell me when they're ready... then I'll tell you when." ANd I sent a comforting pulse towards Namine, before drawing on the strength she'd given me. I laid a mental circle around Arbiter, just larger than his barrier, and waited. Enough concentration was left for me to shove away another wave of debris, at least the portion headed my direction, and scatter it to the winds - not throw it back, merely pull it off course. Telekinetic judo.
This is going to be fun, I thought as I grinned. For once, I was in complete agreement.
Those thoughts were coming more easily... more controlled. We weren't two people but rather two halves. Two.... aspects.
This time, when the thread snapped, it didn't break under pressure from a roaring fire of rage; rather, we took a hand and snapped it.
More debris.... it was so much easier, this time. I didn't even notice that despite the fact that I hadn't actually begun to gather power, my eyes were glowing a steady green...

For a moment me and the person holding me stumble forward, then I feel a calmness wash over me, "Moron." The word is mumbled and I grit my teeth. Despite the fact my body doesn't feel drained, despite the calm on my body I can feel the strain on my heart.
Aiding people plays with my own life force. The more I open the floodgate, the more I could lose, but... at least cheri doesn't drain me completely... My heart is pounding too hard, I can still hold on, still fill him with external str- no... I need a more definite word for him... Something I don't give everyone else...
Love.
Correct word. And...
That's a good feeling to hold onto.
Fill him with your love and strength of said love.
I can feel the man holding onto me tighten his grip, his hold on me crushingly strong. But I feel no pain, I feel no strain, all I feel is the fast and almost strobe lighting fast beating of my heart. Pounding and resignation with love.
Exhaling through my nose I spread what other extra strength I have left a crossed the board to all those I could touch.
Shiki - going from orange-pink to a devastating purple. Shizuo - from electric lemon yellow to a shocking lightning green. Aqua - Sapphire to blue diamonds. The siblings with their metallic colors that are tainted with ocean salt now. Neku, his colors being burnt out by mine, suddenly no longer a color in my mind at all, but pristine and translucent. And all the others I can touch with out snapping myself, with out bending and breaking.
"Lets hit him hard then."

Power seeps into her bones and Aqua nods, "Hey, Shizuo... Ya ready? I think we're gonna counter attack." A smirk graces her lips like a wicked smile she once wore when she beat open a certain demon's head (*cough-cough* Dia's father with the help of Dia *cough-cough*). Her weapon is at the ready, shimmering to the more powerful version again in a small bout of water.

Dest looks back at me, her eyes glowing.
"Not yet."
My words a whisper as I steady me and the girl again.
"Hold."
She nods.
Her arrow glowing slightly as she waits, patiently.
Her gaze turns to the orange haired male next to her.
Blinking, I watch her study him as I mutter another spell of protection.
This girl is really trying to kill herself.
I swear.

The Arbiter eyed the translucent field that surrounded him, energy ran up his legs to his shoulders and to his arms. When it reached his hands he thrust it down and created a massive black wave of energy shot all around them - threatening to wash over them like a tsunami.
"Watch out!" the ball of light moved in front of them, and suddenly the piece of land they were on broke away from the main body and began to move above the wave, it arced upwards over the energy and then moved down behind the Arbiter before reattaching itself to the main body of land.

The Arbiter growled as the piece of land went over the wave of energy, as they landed behind them the Arbiter began gathering energy in his palms.
"Neku..." Vaan said, feeling the mass energy gathering from afar.
A dark ball formed.
"Neku come on!"
It grew larger and larger.
"COME ON!" Vaan yelled, knowing in fact there won't be enough time for Neku to slam the guy with energy: plan B then. He formed the twin axes and threw one at the Arbiter - it slammed against his hand and caused the energy to explode prematurely instead. The white aura around the Arbiter faded, putting the telekinetic field down.
Vaan rushed up, grabbing the axe he threw from the ground and hacked at a shoulder piece. One of the shoulder guards came off, black smoke rose from the spot where the armor was - the floating light let out a surprised sound.
"Wait...could it be...?" the light spoke as the Arbiter suddenly grasped at his shoulder in pain, Vaan was about to deliver another strike when a telekinetic field pushed him away and off the mass of land.
"NO!" Vaan yelled as he flew off the mass island, threatening to fall to the ground.

Sophie watched as the events happened right before her, and then gasped. Vaan was whisked off the island, and falling.
She screamed in horror. Her eyes flashed and glowed bright silver disks. The air smelled of thick vanilla, and a huge wind rushed toward the falling Vaan. It wooshed below him and pushed him back up to the island.
The air then proceeded to push the Arbiter off.
Sophie opened her eyes. She was sitting in a clouded room. There was white-ish fog all around her. She stood up.
Where did everybody go? ... Where's Josh? ... Josh?! Sudden shock overwhelmed her, and she felt panic rush over her.
"Josh?!"
There was no answer. And, surprisingly, there was no echo.
A shadowy figure appeared and walked toward her in the gloom.
"Josh?!"
She rushed forward, but stopped as soon as she realized the shapd of the figure. It was short and slender, and rather lady-like.
The figure faded away and...
...Sophie was once again aware of what was happening.
