I smiled, put an arm around her (I didn't need an arm to eat), and chuckled. A couple forkfuls later, I answered, "I couldn't have said it better myself.... I want to prove it to the world, too, Nami. I want everyone to have a place to belong. Where they don't have to hide anymore. I've done that with the Network, but... too many people never find us...." I shook my head. "Someday. We'll prove it to the world. We'll come out to the public, and create a world where we don't have to be afraid." My smile became a grin, and I looked over to her. "We've got time! Hell.... we're still young..." Then I chuckled. "Dammit, I sound like Lea. And Mr. H. Put together..."

"Hmmmm." I follow his lead and begin to eat as well, listening to him with a half smile. "Alright, alright Mr. Touchy-Feely-Emotional-Guy... Lets not talk about the future..." Not that I mind, its just I can feel myself getting emotional... Gah... I feel teary eyed.

Closing my phone I set it between us and stick my tongue out at Neku, "Now finish your food, Cheri..." Then I yaaaawn. "Hmmm... Think we could snuggle until I pass out..."

I snuggled closer to her, thanking whatever higher Powers That Be that might exist for my ability to do most of what I needed to do in life without hands. "Sure," I said, "I don't mind."

Didn't mind at all.

Snuggling into Neku I finish my food. A few moments later I respond to a couple texts and check my e-mail before slipping out of his grasp and heading for the kitchen. Rinsing out my bowl I open the freezer and beam upon seeing the box of ice cream waiting for me. So I scoop some out into my bowl and skip back out, spooning some into my mouth as I go.

"MMmmmake rooommmmm," I get out around the spoon as I sit on his lap and get comfortable. Swallowing I pick up another spoon full. "Wanna share?"

I grinned, finished with my stir fry, and managed to get the empty bowl out of the way before she made herself comfy.

"Love to," I said, 'lifting' the spoon out of her grip and taking the bite currently on it.

"Mmmmm. Frosty." I smirked at her.

That's not what I meant!

I pout at him before setting the bowl to the side and pressing my lips to his. Share properly!

I kissed her back, wrapping both arms around her.

Hmmmmm, I guess I could get used to 'sharing' like this, I thought back, a hint of smugness in my line of thought. Though I like my way better.

If my tongue hadn't been otherwise occupied, I'd probably have stck it out at her. As it was, I stayed content with what I was doing.

Once the ice cream is completely melted and I can taste Neku again - completely different and unique most other things I put on my tongue... Including when I kiss other people - I pull back. Smirk. And then take another bite.

I loved moments like this; we didn't really get the chance to have them often. Just me, and Namine, flirty and cute and not worrying too much about life - just the taste of ice cream, and each other.

My fingers slipped into her hair as well. I was definitely enjoying the passion of the moment; it occurred to me we were quickly approaching a point we'd never crossed before. A point which was... well, dangerous territory, for both our minds.

Someone's enjoying herself, I remarked, trying to stay cool, keep my calm demeanor. Whatever happened to, 'When you're 18'?

Braking away I lean against him, forcing air in and out of my lungs, back into my brain. Allow my heart, yeah that annoying and currently thrumming organ, to calm down. Once I've grasped a hold of myself I lean back from him and glare, "Ya know... I think you deserve the couch for this." With that I climb off of him and walk briskly to his bedroom, where I shut the door and shove his dresser in front of his door.

Sighing to myself I change into one of his shirts and fluff up his pillow.

"And you don't deserve to sleep in here if you're going to be ruining happy moments like a jackerdoddle."
