She shook her head, deciding that dwelling on such a thing was pointless. "Sorry, just well...overthinking as usual." Shiki glanced behind her, "Think that cake is ready?"

I nod, "Race ya~." Then jump to my feet and dash for the kitchen, slamming into a chair while I move.

In seconds Shiki was behind her, making sure she didn't fall over or anything, "Careful!" Though that was a little late to say.

I stumble a bit before righting myself and taking Shiki's hand. Then drag us along to the cakes, mmmmmm, cake, "I'm fine... Nothing I can't brush off."
Not as bad as.......... something.

"And I bet they're gonna taste even better," I stop once we're in front of the cakes, looking away from her and bowing my head a little. "... Er... I think... You should cut the cake... Shiki, if you don't mind."

Shiki frowned for a second, she didn't want any sadness while she could stop it. So she said as cheerfully as she could, "Sure, no problem. Want to get the plates? They're up there." She pointed to a cabinet.

While Namine did that Shiki got out a knife and quickly cut an equal slice from each and put one on each plate when they were brought to her. Then she reached into a drawer and pulled out two forks, handing one to Namine, "There we go~ Now for the best part."

"Mmmmhhhmmm! Chowing down," Taking my plate and fork I do just so, well, not chow down, but taking a huge bite and sighing in bliss. Mmmm, caaaaaaake.

So we eat our cake and when done I dance my plate to the sink, humming again, "We are amazing~ cooks!"
