Despite the fact I know I should of visited long before now, should of checked up on her... But... Neku... My head shakes fiercely, a thought, foreign in feeling, but for some reason makes sense flashes a crossed my mind and I smile to myself. I'm gonna need to keep that saying.
But either way I walk from Neku's apartment to Shiki's. Seeing her door I knock softly, wondering if I should of brought the batch of cookies with me rather than leave them to cool at my place... Erm... Neku's place.
Flushing and lowering my gaze I wait for either a response or the door to open. My feet shuffling and lip being bitten as I think back over the past six months. I repeat... I should of checked up on her before this...
I seriously hope she's okay...
I hope she isn't mad...
I hope...
Shiki...
So I wait for her to do something... Wish I had a key... Hope she is home.
I knock once more, very quickly and then decide to be patient, because I'm sure she heard me this time, the first set was just too soft. This was one LOUD rap...

Shiki hadn't been sleeping well, to say the least. Between too many nights up thinking and nightmares scattered throughout the weeks, she didn't get as much rest as she should've been. That resulted in her crashing on her couch at some point if she could during the day and napping. This time she had actually been able to fall asleep quicker, and had been for about half an hour.
The loud knock jolted her awake and she sat up so quickly she almost fell off the couch. Rubbing her eyes she headed for the door. If this is Damon I swear I'm gonna kill him. She opened the door a crack and peeked out, seeing blond hair and realizing it was not him. She opened it wider, put on a small smile, "Hey Namine. Haven't had a visit from you in a while."

Blinking I can see the tiredness in Shiki's eyes, but her smile reassures me. As long as... She doesn't ask for it I must... why must I respect her space? What if something is seriously wrong? Other than...
Something escapes me again.
But I shake it off and beam to her, pulling her in a hug, "Sorry... Neku..." And then I hold her out at arms length. "I've missed you though, Shik..."
I pause a moment, fighting with myself to comment on her state, but decide she must of just woken up from a nap. I have no idea if she works a night job or not. All I know is that she's here now and something tells me that I not only need to see her, she needs me to be with her.
"May I come in?"

"Don't apologize, I understand. We've all been busy." She gave her a quick hug back. At her question she nodded and stepped aside, "Of course. It's a bit messy though so sorry about that." She now regretted not making her bed this morning and leaving a few dishes in the sink. Oh well, she didn't try to be the neatest person in the world and she was never going to be.

Shiki's apartment... At least looks homie. I smile at the place and take her hand in mine as I enter, "So how have you been? And I didn't wake you did I?" Ah, curiosity killed the... I blink, realizing I know what comes next, so... There isn't a problem.
Smiling to Shiki I wait for her to close the door and decide where we're going to be hanging out at. Also for a response. I am wondering about her after all.

Shiki reached out and shut the door while answering Namine, "Fine, ups and downs but otherwise...fine." She led her into the appartment and motioned to the couch (she was going to avoid showing off her looks-like-a-tornado-hit-room). "I was just napping it's no big deal. Besides, if I'd just go to bed earlier I wouldn't have to. So I don't mind."
A thought hit her, "Do you want anything? Food, a drink?"

My head shakes and I laugh, "No, I am fine." Still holding her hand I pull us down and onto her couch. "... I am beginning to worry about you though... Why are you not sleeping enough? Is it nightmares?" Not like I get any, but I know Neku does... So I can sorta related, sorta.

"Sometimes. Mostly I'm just thinking too much and that leads to sleep loss..." That was not totally the truth, nightmares had become more frequent than she'd thought they would. But she wouldn't tell her that, she didn't want to be worried about. "It's nothing for you to worry about though, I'm fine." And if I'm not I will have to be anyway.

She nodded with a smile, "Yeah! It'll be so fun!" Shiki playfully poked Namine's arm and said teasingly "As long as Neku doesn't mind."

I snort and roll my eyes, "He can handle one night with out me." I hope, we had snuggled all night long last night... I think. My shoulders shrug and I poke her back. "Besides. I need to step time with my favorite little sister!" And then I proceed to try to tickle her sides and stomach. No one gets away with poking me us I say so... And I didn't say so~.

Shiki shrieked as Namine tickled her, and that quickly turned to laughter. She flailed around for a few moments before curling up in a ball, her head leaning against Nami's shoulder. "Oh-hahaha-my gosh-hahaha!!! N-nami hahaha!!" She couldn't get out the word stop, too busy laughing.

After a moment or so after Shiki burst into laughter I slow my assault before completely ending it with her in my arms, hugging her tightly. Laughing as well, I beam, "Now that's the sound of angels~ Laughter! Hahaha~!"

She hugged Namine, letting out a few more giggles, "It felt good to laugh like that. Haha totally worth it." Shiki smiled, realizing how much she missed Namine's company. It was great to have her around again. "I will get you back later, somehow." Shiki playfully threatened.
