Relief flooded onto her face as she heard his answer. "Good, you won't think I'm crazy then. I hope." She smiled a little at the last part of what she said, but then her expression became more serious.
"Mostly what I've learned are advancements from what I already knew. Like how to handle demons and stuff along those lines. My opinions of some things have changed, though that's not very surprising. Really, I take life and death a lot more serious than I used to."
She looked to the side for a moment, then turned back to Noctis. "Have you been involved in any Crossings since you've been here? I'll honestly be surprised if you haven't."

Lea's own emotions were quite awhirl; nervousness, around the new guy; worry, that he might be more than he said he was, and worry that he might not be; excitement, at meeting Aya, and making a new friend; intrigue at Aya's appearance; annoyance, at the constant calls for his attention.
An emotional guy, Lea was; and beneath the surface, just the faintest skittish whisper of discomfort, fear; here was a man, haunted by his past, ready for anything bad to happen at any moment's notice.
BUt Zack would have to dig very deep to find those things. On the surface, Lea was just as cheerful as ever; he laughed right along with Zack, and part of that discomfort, that fear, eased in him a little bit.
He'd finally found where he belonged.

I kept my eyes focused on her as I listened, still worried about what she would say but my anxiety lessened the more she explained until I was relaxed once more. I nodded with her assessment of taking life and death more seriously, it was hard not to after your first Crossing. I drifted away in my own thoughts for a moment, thinking back to the past year I had been on the run before I was pulled from my memories by Shiki's question.
I glanced away, thinking over the past few months I'd been here and shook my head. "No, I can't say I have. I haven't been out much, actually." I said as I sheepishly scratched the back of my neck and offered an apologetic smile.

She just smiled back. "Looks like you've been good at hiding then. Since you're out though, be careful. There was a Crossing earlier today, and who knows what's going to be coming."
Shiki's thoughts were going as she spoke. Maybe now would be a good time to mention the organization to him. After all, it was part of her job.
"Noctis, have you heard about the organization of Otherborns? It's not that put together, but have you heard anything about it?"

As I paid more attention and the anxiety from the buy in the booth behind us faded I noticed the jumble of emotions coming from Lea. Happiness, nervousness, excitement, intrigue and annoyance. It was all swirling around in my head and it was becoming rather confusing and difficult to separate from my own emotions. This time my smile fell completely as I closed my eyes and furrowed my brow, trying to separate one emotion from another and stuff them into the back of my head. I had to remind myself over and over that these emotions belonged to someone else, not me and I shouldn't act on any of them. Heck, I shouldn't say anything until I had sorted through this jumbled mess. As Zack's abilities weren't quite mastered yet, he could not detect the skittishness, the discomfort or the fear. Just the strongest emotions that Lea was giving off.

"Hey, you okay?" Lea asked, his own brow furrowing.
Zack looked like he did when he was trying to control an angry surge that could leave a building in smoking ruins if he weren't careful.

At her warning I gave a quick gesture of thanks, mostly just a slight nod of my head and a small smile. I would definitely have to keep an eye out for Crossings, they were...unpleasant to say the least. "I'll keep that in mind, thanks." I replied before shifting in my seat, thanking the waiter when he finally arrived with my drink and handed it to me. I was taking a sip of the whisky when Shiki mentioned an organization of Otherborns and asked if he'd heard anything about it. "Some things, mostly in passing though." I replied with my eyes set on the glass in my hands. 'In passing' was pretty much the understatement of the week. I'd accidentally bumped into what I suppose was another Otherborn earlier that day and was bombarded with visions. The mentions of this organization were vague, but it was enough for me to know they existed at the very least.

I noticed as Zack lost his smile, the first time since I've met him, which isn't that big of a deal considering I've barely known him a day. "Hey, what's wrong? Are you alright? Not going to get sick are you?" I looked over at Lea and then back over at Zack before rummaging through my backpack to find some tylenol and placing the bottle in front of him.

I opened my eyes halfway as I heard Lea and Aya speak, apparently put off by the sudden change. I certainly wasn't expecting Aya to plunk a bottle of Tylenol down in front of me but I was grateful, even if I didn't need them. I put up my hand as if to try and forestall any concern they might have. "I'll be ok. Just...give me a minute." I told them before lowering my hand and lapsing into silence as I mentally untangled the emotions. I shoved them to the back of my mind, closing the lid firmly on the metaphorical box before I opened my eyes. "Ok, I'm fine now." I said before taking a deep breath as I opened my eyes full and shook my head as if to shake off the tension so I could return to my normal mood.

(I'm not sure what's going on anymore... Lost track of the last page I was on ) Deciding tonight things were both boring and crowed, Aqua came back over to Lea, payed for her drink, gave him a large tip for him being so nice, and then left.

She nodded her head, trying to figure out how to explain this to him.
"It's goal is to help out the Otherborn, to stay connected with each other and give them what they need to survive. I'm a member of it, and it's part of my job to let Otherborn know it exists."
She paused to think, and then said, "If you want, I can introduce you to someone that could explain this better; help you get in if you want. It's all about help. You don't have to, I'm just suggesting; it's a good back up if you need it."

"Hope you had a nice night!" he said, waving, before turning to the others, rolling his eyes (although much less seriously than he'd done earlier), and getting up. He took care of the payment, all nice and easy, then went to sit back down.
"Sheesh. I might get that sign after all."

(I think I'll switch over to 3rd Person PoV for Noctis since I seem to be better with that and it allows for more freedom.)
Noctis raised his eyes from his whisky glass and listened, sipping from his drink as he did so. He was glad to hear that there was an organization to help set up at the very least. Not to mention that he was grateful to Shiki for offering to introduce him to someone that would help him get into the organization. He set down the glass and nodded his head in answer. "That would be great, thank you." He replied to her, he was glad that after three months in this city things were finally going someplace instead of just sitting and festering, so to speak.

I grabbed my bottle of tylenol and placed it back in my backpack before speaking. "Just get paper, write it down and tape it to your shirt... Actually." I flipped over my napkin, wrote down 'Waiter off duty' and handed it to him. "Go grab some tape and you are good. If you meant it at least."

I walk over to the man drinking whiskey, in an attemp tot make new friends. I sit down at the table with him. "Hiya!"
Placing the bottle of Patron in the center of the table with the 4 empty shot glasses, salt container and sliced limes. "Want to play some drinking games?" With a almost sarcastic remark I added "Not afraid of losing to a girl are you?"
