I looked at Lea, who cleared his throat.
"Ifrit... like I said before, he likes to get inside your mind. He enjoys the pain and suffering of others." He looked down at his hands, then clenched them into fists. My heart went out to him - I'd seen the things Ifrit had done to him.
"Splitting up would be wise, but no team should have less than three members; Ifrit's too powerful to take in small numbers. Don't let either of them capture you; Ifrit likes to make his victims feel like death would be a blessing, and with enough work on your body, any mind will eventually break. That's how he sees the world. That's how he gets what he wants."

I've learned to expect pain when I see it, when I feel it. This is something I didn't have to experience to comprehend. I felt for him, I did. Nodding I agree, "Yeah... I also think each group should have a medic just in case, sounds like the fighting, if it comes down to it, is gonna get rough." Even though I say what I did... I still just have this feeling of going over and hugging Lea... Even though I barely know him... I want him to know that someone care about him and that we're gonna put an end to this madness. But right now I'll stand here and respect the man that can face his fears... No the MEN whom MUST face their tragic pasts in order to protect the city they've rested in. This is truly humanity at its best.

Shizuo nodded in agreement. "Alright..." he said scanning the room once again, saving Lea from a sympathetic or pitying glance, the chances were that the majority of people in the room had suffered, and a mans own problems were always his worst. Plus they had the task at hand to worry about, and Shizuo had a growing sense of dread that this whole situation was going to result in him getting angry, and he hated violence "...So what're the groups going to be?" he asked, looking around the room.

I nodded to Sora.
"Sora and I have been working out the tactical strengths and weaknesses of the Otherborn we've been working with," I said. "Namine, also, knows the abilities of most of the Network by now. So, let's hear their takes on this. Sora, you first; you told me you had some suggestions for teams the other day?"

Noctis listened to the others, grateful to be somewhat out of the spotlight for now. As Lea spoke he nodded in agreement, he hadn't exactly been comfortable with the idea of splitting their strength even though logically he knew it was for the best and was a sound plan. So he didn't voice any objectives, simply putting it down to his own paranoid tendencies and the fact that they were about to go and face two very monstrous men.

Sora nodded and looked amongst the others, "Yeah I reviewed all your abilities and one of the suggestions, in terms of teams, this one is based on which powers compliment each other. Group one should be Neku, Namine and Shizuro. Group two should be Aqua, Noctis, Aya. And group three should be myself, Riku, and Shiki."
Sora paused, "It's a three person group, Lea can add a fourth to any number and it'll be fine, on a personal note I'd say you should back up team one. Shizuro's the heavy hitter, Neku's mid-way and Namine's pure support. But if this balance is upset then the team goes down, having you on deck picks up the slack on team one. This is just a list in terms of powers though."

I spoke up, "Remember... Where ever I go... So does Angel." My blond companion looks up before standing and moving to my left side. I can tell he's blood thirsty at the moment, if he keeps this up I won't have a level head either. "I'm quite sure he'll be uncomfortable no matter where I go... So he'll be at my side... Am I correct?"
He nods.
"So there is a little pick up in my obvious lacking of offense."

Aqua nodded, she liked this idea. Although as soon as Namine said that Angel would be a part of whatever team the girl was on she adds (hastily), "If this were the set up, I severely agree with Sora on Lea joining group one..." Or HIM not going at all, she adds silently, she can see that glint in his eye, its for blood not for protecting.

Shizuo noted the way that Aqua was looking at Angel, she didn't trust him by the looks of things and Shizuo made a mental note to keep an eye on him. Like Sora said he was going to be the power house here, and god knows what he'd be like with Namine's support. "I'm happy with the groups, unless anyone else has any complaints..?"

Aqua glances to Shizuo before saying, "Wait a moment... When are we doing this? Right away? Or are we waiting to go over strategies with each other?" Concern is heavy in her voice. "I know that Neku and Sora may know the tactics by heart by now... But some of us aren't as... Prepared... Would it be better if we were in tip top shape... Or would that just be offering an opening to the enemy--" Suddenly she stops her ramble and blushes.
"What I'm trying to get at is when are we actually putting this into action."

"Sounds fine to me." Noctis said as he tried his best to keep his expression neutral and his voice level. He was glad that he and Aya were on the same team, he had nothing against anyone else but Aya was the person he knew the best aside from Lea. He didn't want to admit it but the idea of going back to the compound and anywhere near Hojo was fraying his nerves. He shook himself mentally, as if trying to brush the emotions away.

"We'll be leaving as soon as we're ready," I said. "I understand that many of you aren't accustomed to missions like this, so I'll need to know from you all when you'll feel ready to do this."
I looked around the room, my eyes hard and cold as ice.
"That being said, we need to move quickly. We need to strike as quickly as we can. Lea - if Angel's going to be with us, I'm going to suggest you back up Aqua, Aya, and Noctis. All three of them are mid-range fighters, but Aqua and Noctis aren't used to team combat, from what I've seen. What's more, you and Noctis have worked together well so far."
I looked around. "Are there any objections?"
