((Warning: Probable TWEWY spoilers in this thread))
He'd asked them to meet him here, in the concert space, where he could feel the residue of music in the air and the hallmarks of strong Souls. Over the past week, he'd seen the blonde 'Namine' a few times and he'd like to think that they'd become friends - friends enough that he could ask this of her.
And Shiki. He'd wanted to ask Shiki, too - and since Namine and Shiki were friends, well, he'd asked Namine to get him in touch with her before sending a message off her way. He had the feeling she didn't trust him; no matter, he could understand why. Stupidly calling her by name before being introduced...
He was willing to explain everything. That's why he picked here - it would be abandoned without a show going on, but he'd made sure enough lights were lit so that they could speak comfortably.
All he had to do was wait for them to arrive. He stretched his new wings, now mostly accustomed to their presence, and wondered if this wasn't a test from other powers.

Too say the least, Shiki was curious about why Joshua had wanted to talk to her. They'd met once for a total of about five minutes. That wasn't much time to get to know someone and she was suspicious of him in the first place. Sure he'd gotten in touch with her a few times, but still she couldn't shake her wariness of him. So she'd agreed to meet him, hoping that she'd get an understanding. It also helped that Namine was coming too.
She saw Joshua and well it only took one glance for her suspicions to come up all over again. Wouldn't yours if you saw someone with wings? "Um...hey." It was all she could think to say when she walked up to him, very surprised at what she was seeing.

He paused, startled, then turned to look at her. He mostly closed his wings, enough that they wouldn't get in the way, and smiled.
"Hello, Shiki," he greeted her. "Thanks for coming on such short notice." He noticed her gaze, then chuckled. "Relax; I'm not an alien. Just an Otherborn... perhaps a bit more," he admitted, not wanting to start this conversation with a lie. "But nothing you need to be scared of."

I got the message and decided I might as well show up. Getting to where we were meant to meet I skip up, "Hey, Josh, Shik."

He waved. "Hello, Nami," he said, then perched hmself on a folded-up seat, wings half-spread for balance. "Have a seat if you want. I..." He paused. "I asked you to come here for a few reasons. I'd like to ask you a favor... and I'm willing to come clean about some of the things that I know you're both suspicious about."

She stood for a few moments, seeming to be debating something. Then Shiki took a seat next to Namine, "Go ahead."

He smiled. "First for the favor. You are both acquainted with someone by the name of Neku Sakuraba, correct?" He paused, but continued without waiting for an answer. "If possible, I'd like you to introduce me to him. I have my own personal reasons, of course, but... hmmm. How do I put this?" He put a finger to his chin, glancing up at the ceiling, the classic thinking pose, before a small 'aha' moment. "Ah. How's this - I owe Neku and his friends a favor or three for helping me out of a tight spot, and despite the fact that Neku has never heard of or met me before, I feel as though helping Neku will help ease my conscience enough to face Neku... when I return home."
He grinned. "Confused yet?"

"I...have no idea what either of you are talking about." Shiki looked from Josh to Namine, then back to the ash blonde boy with a raised eyebrow.

He smirked, and suddenly, there was a little more to him than there'd been before.
"Somewhat, yes," he said to Namine. Turning to Shiki, he said, "I told Namine when we first met that I knew someone named Neku as well... she told me that I should make amends with him. Easier said than done." He shrugged. "Therefore, she's correct - I am indirectly doing what she suggested. With the aim of later returning home to repay Neku Sakuraba and Shiki Misaki when they might be more inclined to listen to what I have to say."
He glanced out of the corner of his eye to see Shiki's reaction.

"Alright... If its to help a friend, I'll do it," I nod as I just take Shiki's hand and lean against her mumbling something about friends of friends. "So... What else are you here to tell us of?"

Well if Namine was willing to do it-wait what did he just say?! She blinked, "What are you...?" She stared at him for a few moments, felt her eyes narrow slightly before she sighed, "Explain, please. And...I guess I'll help you out too."
