Jack raised his sword against me, and I instinctively swiped through the air again, another blast. The nervousness made me miss. "Damn it... DAMN YOU, JACK!" Just his presence... it pissed me off. "You will fall here today! Demon scum have nothing in their power to stop the Deity!" And I raise the Deity Blade high above my head, encasing it in the wind's power and crashing it down on Jack.

The Sword of Aeons, coated in the red mist of the Void, rose up to meet Link's strike. The two swords locking together with the screeching hiss of metal against metal, two blades of magical properties clashing together. Most of the trash and dirt nearby flew outwards and a nearby window shattered within seconds of the blades colliding with one another. Jack took the opportunity of the blade lock to move his masked face closer to that of his child's.
"Everything you know..." He hissed, pushing his blade forwards, hoping to catch the advantage in the gridlock, they didn't call him the 'Jack of Blades' for nothing.
"Is a lie..." He finished, a small smirk spreading behind his mask as his yellow eyes burned into Link's.

"Whoa whoa!" I yelled as I quickly sidestepped the fist. Taking the opportunity, I activate the broadsword ÄRM and charge. I run down the exposed golem's middle, jumping up and kicking it down to the ground. Before Otar could pick it back up again, I jumped off of the golem and charged at him, blade extended. A bit rash... But I can handle it!

"You don't know what you're talking about, old man! You... You enslaved me!" I jump back and clash the blades again. I pull it back and slam it down once more. "You abandoned me!" Another meeting of the blades. "You don't care for me! You care just for your own power! For your own gain! You're not my father! You never were! You never will be!" Each scream was another powerful blow to his blade. It wasn't about attacking right now. It was about releasing the emotions from over the years that I'd built up... that I'd used as a weapon...

Otar thrust a palm forwards, a sudden gout of flame bursting from it and burning its way towards Ginta. The neutral expressioned mask on his face showing no signs of strain or worry. He had lived for hundreds of years, he had more battle experience than even some of the demons! Keeping the boy occupied with the flames, he used his other hand to strike the golem with lightning, reforming it once again, to act as his fists, which flew towards Ginta's exposed back.
-
Jack blocked each strike expertedly, giving little ground to the beserk assaulter before him. As they locked blades once again, Jack swung to the side, parrying away the strike. Throwing Majora's mask up into the air as if it were worthless, he reached out with his now free hand and grabbed his son by the neck whilst he had the chance. Raising him up and slamming him against the alley wall, he spoke, not the slightest hint of frustration in his voice.
"Who are you to speak for me? You know not what I did. Know not what I endured for the sake of my son." He pulled the boy closer to those scarred yellow eyes, before speaking in hushed tones. "You clearly know nought of the Void. Nought of the land which is your inheritance by blood."

I grin madly, sharp fangs of the Deity showing clearly. "No, I don't know! I never had a father to explain it! And my mother, ha! What of her, dear father?! What did you do with her?!" I smash my forehead into his mask and kick him away. "Why don't you tell me why you got rid of your son, Jack! Why don't you tell me what you even want from him right now, Jack!! JACK!!" Picking up the Deity Blade, I swing it five times in the air, sending five blasts of wind his way.

Jack raised his arms, despite being buffeted back a few feet, he still lowered them, smirking behind his mask.
"Your mother, hm?" He asked, pointing the Sword of Aeons at his own blood. "You want to know about her, hm?" His tone suddenly became serious, his eyes furrowing into a frown.
"Your mother was a two-bit whore, boy." He growled. "She lured me in, and upon learning who I was she sold me out, and were it not for me, you'd be dead." It was true, for those few years, Jack had truly... Loved... But now there was nothing, just a burning anger.

"I have no clue what she sold you out for, Jack. But you probably deserved it!" I growl out at him. But what if he was saying was true? Maybe he cared? I couldn't force back the thought. "Why? Why couldn't you just let me die, Jack?! What do you care?!" I jump onto the wall, using it to propel my jump as I swing the Deity Blade vertically from the ground.

Jack's eyes narrowed, stepping to the side he swung his blade to the right, parrying away the vertical strike, before turning on his heel so that Link was flying past him. As he did so, he brought his free hand round and grabbed the boy by the back of the neck, before pushing down, slamming him into the ground. It was then that he pushed the tip of the Sword of Aeons into the back of his neck, nicking him slightly.
"You want to die, boy?!" He growled. "Is that it...? You're willing to undo the years of hard-work that I put into keeping you safe over your own insecurities?!"

The Deity forced out a growl that split the ears of all around. "I don't want to die! No! I've grown far beyond that! What I want is your death, Jack of Blades! You, and the rest of your cohorts! Your death is why I exist!"
Of course, unable to move... it was very difficult to sound tough.

Jack let go of Link's neck with his hand but kept the Sword as it was, replacing his hand with his foot, he swung his fist for dramatic effect. "No! You fool!" He roared, his voice suddenly becoming less scary and creepy, and more authoritative. "You have it all backwards, my child. My living is the only reason that you're alive. That camp, that camp which you survived. I couldn't take you back to the Void, we'd both have been killed on site, I couldn't let you roam the Otherworld, you'd have been killed by any passing demon, and I definitely couldn't let you live on this backwater dump of a planet! You. Are. Royalty!" He applied some pressure with his foot in his anger, before seemingly composed himself.
"So, I staged an elaborate ruse. I placed you in one of the work camps in the Otherworld, and had Otar here..." He motioned to the Demon Priest, locked in combat with Ginta. "Pose as one of the guards. He kept watch over you due to my orders, and then, when you had grown enough to escape, he helped, most of the guards that you crept past were already dead, thanks to Otar. The only ones still alive were the ones you had to kill yourself." He slackened the pressure on his foot. "And now, you are ready. You are ready to be that which you were born to be!" The Sword still didn't move.
"Or rather, you were. Instead, you twisted yourself, made me out to be the big bad wolf. Yes, I do plan on taking back my home by force, yes I do plan on extending the Void outwards through war and conquest, yes I am a demon lord who feeds off the souls of the dead and slaughtered people in this very city simply because I needed people to know my name... But I am still a father."

My body relaxes. It... thinking back to the escape, it made sense. Security was too thin...
"...why? Why couldn't you take me with you! You're not a father! You're a dad! Anyone can be a dad! A father is there for his child! YOU WEREN'T THERE! NOBODY WAS EVER THERE!" The Deity's voice enhanced the scream two-fold. And my body begins to tremble. "...all I ever wanted... was my parents..."
I can't cry. The Mask won't let me. "Jack... remove my Mask..."

Jack moved the Sword away from the boys neck, the weapon started to disperse in a cloud of red mist and Jack took a few steps back, shaking his head slowly as he did so. "I can't, boy." He said, almost solemnly. "Take it from a man who has worn one all his life, the only person who can take that from him is the himself. Consider it a 'first' step if you will." He gingerly touched his own mask.
"One that I have yet to make myself."

"...right." I move my hands to the edge of my face, blue energy surrounding my Mask as a flash of white-green light removes my Mask. I was myself again. And I fall to the ground, eyes swelling furiously with tears that began falling. "...it was all I ever wanted..." I repeat again, choking on the air that could not escape. "...never..."

"I..." Jack was somewhat lost for words to say the least, he had never really imagined that a moment like this would ever come to be, truth be told he felt awkward. What exactly was expected of him at this moment? He wasn't exactly the sort of person to hug people, being a demon lord and such. But could he just leave his son in a state like this..?
Squatting down onto his haunches, he looked the boy dead in the face with those burning yellow eyes of his.
"Come with me." He said. "Help me take back what is ours."
