[Josh and Sophie]

The twins heard Vaan start to talk to them, but just as they had, he shifted his gaze to the hooded figure. It pulled out a USB drive from the pocket of the body he was holding onto, and the two started talking about the Lebeau's money. Josh didn't know them, but he'd watched the news and some movies enough to know that bad guys usually wanted money for either power, or for people to give in to their demands.

He stepped forward. "I'm guessing you went through some trouble to get that"—he looked at the USB, then back at the figure—"and to ensure that we saw you take it. So what's next? I know you're having the urge to gloat about your plans, and how we won't be able to stop you."

"Josh," Sophie alerted him. His mouth had gotten him into trouble before, but this was a serious matter, and she didn't want him getting hurt, especially in some unknown place.

Josh ignored her, and stared intently. He was trying to lure the figure into making the first mistake every bad guy makes: revealing their plans.

(A/N: Before reading this I would like to mention Namine feels/senses the Otherborn and/or Hlafer's Other powers are sending off through color... Sorry if I've never mentioned this before... I kept meaning to... Wresie out!)

Two more people can out, bickering, I can feel them. Then comes Vaan, he's a clean slate as in purely none existent. The figure speaks and my blood spikes, HOW DARE HE!! HOW DARE HE!!!! In a split second I have knife out and at the ready, "Neither will I!" I don't need an Otherborn to protect myself, I have the footing, I got the focus, all I need is the timing.

Which, in my sense of speaking, I think I may have. I can feel the purple and find the black, so no matter where they go, I'll know, I'll damn straight know! My eyes brighten to glow, but deepen in color, pupils turning an almost black blue compared to blue. I am no aiding anyone, but I am using my powers, the pain of others and their training racing through my veins, my own mother's lessons readying me. My mind knows what to do, now all my body needs to do is react.

I can hear the two people talking again, but ignore them, they aren't anything to focus on, I don't need anyone to fight. I don't need anyone to defend, I am a weapon, honed and skilled, I just always needed to tap into. And now that I have...

"Lets check that armor sweetheart," My head nods and body moves to strike, not caring that the Other power before me is one of those I would avoid upon normal instances. NO ONE MESSES WITH MY FAMILY!

Closer, closer, focus on the target. Aim for anything exposed. Blood finally catches my senses. He killed too? Were they human? Doesn't matter, blood is blood, focus.

Aim for the strongest leak.

I jump into air, unconscious mind already having made the decision to before my conscious mind had, aiming a kick them in face dammit. And from the air I could be able to tell who is was... If it was anyone I cared about... He is going to die regardless Namine, stop thinking useless information.

And I'm heading downwards now, twist a little to a good kick to his face!

The Arbiter chuckled, it was a low dark chuckle...he said no other words to Josh, as if he was mocking him. Vaan was about to attack when Namine already did, Vaan watched her soar through the air at her opponent. The Arbiter raised his hand and she suddenly stopped mid-air, he held his hand there - keeping her immobile in the air.

He was a telekinetic.

"Rest assured Ms. Lebeau, the Network will be unharmed as long as you stay out of our way...as for the human boy." he looked at Vaan, before looking back at her. "I can't guarantee the same."

"LET HER GO!" Vaan demanded, rushing forward with his blade. The Arbiter suddenly gestured with his free hand and Vaan flew backwards, when the boy crashed on the ground the Arbiter turned to the sky.

"I am leaving now...we'll begin our assault on the main Lebeau family vault. Deal with them."

"Yes." a voice responded back, the Arbiter turning to the arriving group.

"Should we meet again, it will be the last."

Then the Arbiter vanished...and the area began to shake and rumble.

[Neku Sakuraba]

As Lea, Izzy, and I raced outside, the ground began to shake, and the bad guy disappeared.

When taken together, those? Were never, not ever, good signs. I braced myself for whatever came next, the glowing force igniting around my hands. I saw Izzy hop on that flying disc of his, his arms lighting up like a Christmas tree.

[Namine Joy LeBeau]

"You chicken!" I growl as I land and whirl around, world shaking? Fine with that. I need to give something a beat down, throwing my powers a crossed the board I search for something, anything... "Sissy ass running away like a pansy."

[Aqua]

The mother jerks forwards and gasps a moment before she's on her feet and heading outside, she comes to a stop behind Neku and Izzy. Her eyes narrow as she summons her blade to her side, "Please tell me no more dragons."

[Shiki]

Shiki ran outside and stopped beside Aqua, feeling the earth shake around her. With that bad sign she took her stance, hearing the mother say something about dragons. "I don't want to know what you're talking about, but since it sounds bad I agree." Her eyes scaned the area, watching for what was about to happen.

[Josh and Sophie]

Attempting to join the rest of the group pulling out concealed weapons (and to not feel left out), Josh jerks the artistry tube from his backpack, and pulls out Clarent.

"Did you expect him to just tell us what his intents were with that money," Sophie asked him. Of course he's pulling out Clarent... We need to find him another way to defend himself... She thought to herself.

"Well, I was trying to use some word play to see if he would spill, but—"

"He caught on." Sophie finished for him.

"Right."—he changes the subject; referring to the rumble—"Does anybody know what caused that?"

[Vaan Shepard]

Seconds later large spire like objects shot out of the ground, the rumbling never stopped though - instead they seemed to ascend in the air: like they were floating. The ground seemed to move upward and downward at a steady rate, Vaan looked around the area and frowned.

"What the hell is this..." he took step forward when his foot stepped on something, he looked down and saw the ground was...jagged. Not completely, like ridges in the ground...

...and they were green.

Vaan's eyes widened as he realized it - ascending at a steady rate in the air, floors like ridges, strange tall pillars.

"Oh god..." Vaan spoke, looking at the 'pillars'. "Those are spikes...this isn't ground, they're scales...we're on top of a dragon!"

A large roar from ahead of them proved it, they were on top of a flying dragon.

[Aqua]

Aqua groans, but nods, "Big and scary, whoop!" She shifts around and then looks to Shiki. "Now you know and yes this is bad."

[Josh and Sophie]

Oh goodness. Not another dragon... Sophie thought to herself.

Josh didn't really know what to say... "Great. Another dragon to fight. And this time, we're on it."

Sophie looked around, trying to determine how far the scales and spikes stretched, but was deeply unsure. All she knew was that it would be a great idea to at least get off the dragon. Right?

[Shiki]

Shiki sighed at Aqua's comment, "Figures, when is it not bad?" She lit up her hands with fire, preparing for the fight.

[Namine Joy LeBeau]

"Oh this a just a load of, grrrrah!" Growling under my breath I turn in the direction of the roar. "Who besides me thinks the most effective place with be its oversized head to beat the living daylights outta?"

[Josh and Sophie]

Josh nodded in approval. He didn't know the girl, but the blonde was right, it wouldn't be a bad place to start.
Even as he was thinking that, his 'warrior insticts' were telling him otherwise.

[Shizuo Heiwajima]

Shizuo suddenly burst out of the Veil with a cigarette between his lips and a scowl on his face. He did not look happy, at all.

"Y'know, I've not had a smoke all day, I've been too busy to do so... So with everyone rushing outside, I thought 'Hey, maybe this is my chance to relax' but here I am, stood on top of a giant... Freakin' oversized reptile!" He clenched a fist, his eyes closed and his shoulders shaking in his rage. "And now..." His voice was becoming a progressive growl. "Someone's suggesting we beat the crap out of it?!"

His eyes flashed open, flecks of gold perfectly visible in them.

"This god be damned dragon chose the wrong time of the year to get on my bad side!" He reached up to his hands and pulled on a pair of thin, black leather gloves, before raising a fist into the air. "And I'm gonna' let it know!" He let out a mix between a snarl and a roar.

"TAKE THIS!"

He slammed his fist down onto the scales of the dragon with as much of his might that he could muster.
