It wasn't difficult to get strikes in on the large demon; however, it was difficult to get them through its fairly thick hide. Luckily, the attacks seemed to be working.
The demon shook its head, and the white, 'rolled-back' look ceased; evidently, it had a second pair of eyelids that reflexively closed when Yuna fired at it.
Lea ran up, attempting to swipe at the thing with his claws, hands surrounded by flame.
The visiting 'kitty' was noticed by him, then discarded; didn't matter to him if it wanted to help out, too.

The distraction she tried to cause wasn't nessasary, the creature seemed to be focused on Lea. She rushed towards it and launched a flaming attack to it's side. It was hard for her to tell if she dealt any damage or not. "How's it going, Lea?" She asked when for a split second she was next to him before moving, dodging another blow.

He grinned, showing off his fangs. "It's going well. Nothing like a good demonslaying to work off work stress!" Then he shot another blast at the demon.
"Hahahah!" it laughed. "Not even the mighty Axel can slay me!" it roared, swiping down towards Lea with a giant claw.
He rolled his eyes.
"I told you bfore!" he called as he rolled backwards. "My..." He shot a blast.
"Name..." He dodged another swipe.
"Is...!" He leaped into the air.
"LEA!" He came down in a burst of flames, and the demon howled in pain.

Shiki's eyes widened at Lea's attack on the demon. Now she realized why most people didn't mess with him. That was just one nasty hit. And Shiki enjoyed it's response. This demon was getting on her nerves. Axel? What could that be about? Shiki thought to herself as she watched the creature howl in pain. Oh well. Worry about the current situation, deal with other crap later.That was how she answered that question. "Nice one!" She called out to Lea, then went back to trying to deal damage of her own.

He couldn't do too much of that - and he could only do it within the influence of the Veil. As it was, he was feeling pretty worn. Still, he thumbs-upped at her. "No sweat!" he called back, despite the fact that he stepped back from the conflict for a moment to catch his breath.

I stood there in silence as I watched Lea's attack. I looked down at the lion and pet her to make sure she was fine and she seemed to be alright from what I've seen. "Good job Lea." Somehow the demon was still standing and I went back to trying to defeat it but that still seemed far out of reach.

I stopped for but a moment as Lea seemed to get really pissed off, darting away as the bartender came down on the demon in a burst of flame. There was no way I wanted to get caught in anything by mistake. "Wow, remind me never to piss him off." I muttered to Aya, standing not too far away before I ran back in to continue attacking. Unlike a lot of the others here, I didn't have a bunch of fancy offensive powers. Just my training...that I don't even remember where I learned. Either way, it didn't allow for a lot of fancy moves when fighting something this big.

Seeing the nice lady whom I had been protecting race back into the fight, I do as well. Doing the only thing I know how to do. Bite and scratch. Though I make sure to avoid too hot flesh, I'm sure that would be a problem when I morphed back. Just because the pain doesn't register now, don't meant it wont later. Although I am tuckering out, Ive never had to fight like this before. Riona knew how and my Master would always protect me... Right, what would Riona do?

I only had 3 bullet to the sniper rifle and I used them all off, I never pictured me in a situation were I would be forced into using the damned thing. It was more of a treasure than it was a weapon but I unlashed my pistols loaded with cryogenic bullets still and started shooting at the demon, the damage done to the beast was minimal at best. I would have to make a special note to get better ammo, hollowed point titanium tipped ones but as it stood none of my bullets were like that. The woman I was helping heal was all healed up and rushed back out into battle. "Whats with this thing, it just doesn't die."

"Demons don't like being killed apparently. This one is just even more so. " I yelled back at her, continuing to shoot. The demon was very much armored so bullets weren't doing much. I looked for something else I could use to hurt it but nothing else seemed like it would work. "Could someone remind me after the fight to get a shotgun or something like that?" I'd need one, that's for sure.

They were right; most of their attacks weren't doing much more than wearing it out. Lea stepped back, away from the situation.
It had only been four years since his observations were his greatest weapon. Since what he saw and how he used it was all that stood between a free life and an early death. Maybe he could use those same skills again....
There. A chink in the armor. And if he could get them to expose it....
"Everyone!" he shouted. "The base of its neck! It's large, but I think I can bring it down to your level! You ready?"

I narrowed my eyes at the thing in front of me in frustration before I heard Lea shout out. "Ready!" I replied as I stepped back in preparation to do my part once the demon had been brought down a few notches. I was really glad that the bartender had noticed the weak point as I was beginning to wonder whether or not we would all be getting out of this in one piece.

With my voice in a sheepish tone I nod at Lea. "G-go for it!"
I wouldn't be much help if something didn't change soon, but at lease I would be able to help heal if anybody else got hurt. I reloaded my guns, trying to look more confident then I sounded.

I looked over at Lea and nodded. "Ready whenever you are!"
I took plenty of steps back to make room. We were finally about to get this over with it seems. The feeling of empowerment overwhelmed me, now that I knew that this thing actually had a weak spot.

Lea grinned, looking, for a moment, almost as feral as the demon he was facing down. Running forward, he leaped, bouncing off one of the alley walls and coming down on the demon's back in a gout of flame.
Startled, the demon lost its balance, stumbling to one knee. "YEEHAH!" Lea shouted, sounding like he was having a bit too much fun as the demon started to try and shake him off. He did another leap, grabbed it by the horns, and pulled it down, exposing the soft skin at the base of its neck.
"Now, everyone!"
