The moment the opportunity presented itself I darted in and slashed at the base of the throat, doing my best to stay out of the way of others as well. Hopefully this would finally kill the stubborn demon.

The demon howled in pain.
It was working.

"Go ahead, Lea!" Shiki called out, confirming that she agreed to the plan. Once he had the demon pinned, she rushed forward and slashed with fire, jumping back after she'd felt her attack come in contact with the demon's flesh. It was howling in pain from the guy's attack, and she hoped she'd done damage as well.

Racing forward, seeing how its weakness was exposed, and cutting at it with my claws I rip a little at its neck before jumping away, allowing another to do damage.

As the demon tumbled down, I rushed in and shot there, trying not to hit any of the more melee fighters, it was kind of difficult but I tried to be careful. The demon was crying out and I had felt some blood lust. I wanted it dead, it deserved to die.

What Aya believed it deserved came true. The attacks worked; the demon let out one last howl of pain and toppled to the ground.
Lea stood, dusted his hands, put one foot on the demon's back...
...then leaped back, startled, as the demon began to laugh.
"Ha... haha.... so I am bested.... by the mighty Axel, and his.... human friends." It grinned, even as it began to fade away from this world. "Master.... will be pleased... at how much... the child has rown..."
Lea stomped hard on the demon's chest, glring down into its beady eyes.
"Who is this 'Master'?" he growled.
The demon laughed some more.
"Who is he?!" Lea sreamed, digging his claws into the demon's neck, now kneeled over on top of the demon. "Tell me his name, you demonic scum!" He dug his claws in harder.
The demon just laughed one final time, coughing as his life gave way. "You.... know him... as well... as he knows.... you, Axel..."
And with that, Lea was left kneeling on a pile of dust, blowing away in the wind, the only remnant of the demon's form as the Crossing disintegrated, leaving only the Otherborn, standing in the middle of the Labyrinth at dusk.
Lea let out a yell, channeling his anger into a gout of fire that he sprayed off down a deserted alley; it was better than frying his friends.
He clamped down hard on his emotions, the anger and rage that spawned his flames, and he felt the burning die down.
He snarled a name under his breath. "Ifrit..."

Watching the demon finally die, I looked at Lea who was on his knees. Quietly, I put my guns away and walked over. Comforting has always been difficult for me, interaction in general actually. Either way, I rubbed one of his shoulders gently, trying to calm him down.
"Hey, Lea. Maybe you should clear your head a bit. Go for a walk or something." I'm not sure if he heard me, but hopefully he did. "I live in that building over there if you need to talk." I pointed towards the building that I live in. "Fourth floor, fifth door on the right." I continued rubbing his shoulders, hoping doing that would calm him.

He flinched when she first touched him, evidently not noticing her walking up to him; after he realized who it was, however, he relaxed, letting himself lean slightly against her, exhausted in more ways than one. He nodded. "Yeah..." he told her, sighing. After a few moments, he stood up, kicking away the shrinking pile of dust that had been the demon.
Looking her in the eye, he nodded again. "...Yeah," he said again. "I... I think I'll do that."
Then he started to walk away.

I shifted from foot to foot after Lea walked off. Thoughts went in and out of my head but the main one was whether he'd be alright or not. Either way, it wasn't my business. I turned to the group and looked at each and every one of them. "Well... We should probably all clear our heads." I turned and started to walk towards my building.
My mind kept wandering and I tried to hush them down. I wanted to actually get some sleep tonight and if I kept thinking like this, those chances are slim.

I watched the exchange between Lea and the demon with a sense of fascination though I could quickly feel the rage building up in Lea. Whoever had sent the demon, this 'Master', apparently knew Lea well and it didn't take an Empath to see that he didn't like it one bit. In a rare moment, I decided to keep my silence until I had the emotions under control again since I didn't want the anger influencing what would come out of my mouth. As Aya walked towards her apartment she suggested that we should all clear our heads and I nodded numbly. "Yeah...I should head back home as well." I replied quietly, returning my sword to the scabbard on my back and began walking home as well.

Shiki watched the scene between Lea and the demon, slightly wincing at Lea's anger. She had no idea what to say to him. So she stuck with saying nothing to avoid making things worse. Aya's suggestion went fine with Shiki. She looked at the remainder of the team. "Yeah, that's probably the best solution." She turned and headed back to her apartment.
