Seeing the look in Namine's eyes, Shiki felt guilty. She didn't want to hide, didn't want to resist or push her away. Ever. This was the first time she'd allowed someone to care for her this way and in return let herself feel the same. If she lost Namine...could she stand to have this love ripped from her?
No, she really couldn't. And the fear that she was pushing away Namine came to her. Shiki's voice was a whisper, "I have to straighten some things out on my own...just don't stray far, okay? I really do rely on you, Namine..."

After a moment I blink, braking our eyes contact and I nod, "I will, I'll be as close as you'll let me." And then in the background Will Smith curses something a foul and I glance to the screen. "I think we missed like half the movie" And then I laugh softly.

Shiki stared at her in confusion a moment and then looked to the TV, "Oops. I completely forgot about it." A smile appeared on her face as she said, "Well I guess it's not that big of deal."

As the movie went on Shiki began to doze off, only to wake up when the movie would get to an intense part and she'd hear it. Then she'd glance to Namine to see if she was awake and back to the moive, secretly hoping that she didn't notice her falling asleep.

I shift so Shiki has something more comfortable to rest her head on. My fingers run through her hair as I watch the movie. And softly I whisper to her, "You can sleep, Shiki, I know you need it."

"I know..." She was hesitant of sleeping. Shiki didn't want to stop trying to have a good time. And she was also afraid of what would happen when she went to sleep...
"If I do...don't hesitate to wake me up. If you think I should."

She nodded, "Thank you." And she closed her eyes, dreading what was to come, if anything. But knowing Namine was there let her slip off somewhat calmly.

And I continue to watch the movie, glancing to Shiki every now and again to make sure she's still okay.

It always starts with something pleasant. This time she was on Main Street, surrounded by a huge crowd, staring up at the sky. Waiting for someone, who they were she didn't know, but she was happy they were coming to meet her. Shiki was content, peaceful.
Then the shadows rolled in, the sky turned red. All the people disappeared, leaving her alone and suddenly standing in the middle of the street. Fear kicked in and she watched her uncle appear in front of her, fade in like a ghost. He stared at her with disappointment, annoyance, and even curiosity.
"Ruined." With that one word he spoke the real horror began. She watched as images flashed by, with her rooted to the spot. Veil was up in flames, screams echoed as people fled. Lea ran to exit, the door slammed shut in his face and he was trapped inside.
Namine and Neku fighting side by side, only to have demons, sent Sin, tackling them both. Shiki screamed, ran forwards, only to have the scene change to Aqua and her kids be surrounded by a ring of demons and pounced.
Shiki spun around and saw Ghost Rider, standing there, being devoured by black flames. The Rider form seemed to almost be ripped from him and suddenly Sora was there. Shiki met his eyes and barely had time to scream before the flames engulfed him as well, his own scream almost deafening her...
On the outside Shiki tensed, her hands gripping Namine's arm while a small panicked sound left her.
