Going for a "walk" [Closed]

"Then I'll go--" He started but was interrupted by the sound of his phone going off. Damon pulled it out and glanced at the name. It wasn't a call he could ignore. "I'll go pay for this stuff alright?" Taking the clothing and shoes from her he went up to the register, answering his phone at the same time. "Need something?"

As he listened to the other person on the end of the line he threw a large sum of cash on the counter, much to the cashier's surprise. He mouthed 'keep the change' and then spoke into the phone, "Tonight? Really?" He narrowed his eyes, "Yeah, I know."

He took the bag from the cashier and headed back to Xion, lowering his voice, "Whatever you say Sin. I better be getting paid double for this one." And he hung up, going over to the young demon and holding out the bag, "All set."

[Xion]

I took the bag and looked at it for a second, then looked back at Damon. "...did you just... converse with someone?"

I then moved my hands in the shape of the object, "With something... plastic? Wait... is that a phone you can move around with? Wha-" I felt like someone was watching me and turned to see a woman staring at me with concern. I rolled my eyes and pointed to my head and spoke to her, "I'm recovering from a head injury, sorry if I sound off."

The woman nodded and her face went back to normal as she continued onwards, I then turned to Damon and gritted my teeth, "Curious creatures humans aren't they?" then I got quiet and held my head, "Or I was loud... or both."

[Shiki]

"They make things their business that they shouldn't a lot. they also happen to have an unhealthy attraction to the odd," he answered and steered her out of the shop, "Just use that excuse, it'll make them leave you alone. Most of them."

Damon moved them so they weren't too crowded between people so they could talk easier, "Yeah, it's called a cell phone. They're useful."

[Xion]

"Cellphone?" I couldn't understand why the word "cell" usually referring to "small" was added to the front of "phone". After a few minutes I spent trying to figure out why it was called that, the word "cellular" came to mind and I assumed it was the shortened version of it. Now, it's not that I don't know what a phone is, we just don't use them.

I felt my eyes flash gold and covered my eyes whispering, "damn it"

No Vanitas, you aren't waking up. Do me the favor this time of finding a safe place to fall asleep
Safe? You're in the human world.
I found someone who is helping me, wait an hour.

I waited a few minutes, still covering my eyes. It's not that I was concerned over Damon seeing my eyes it was all the humans. I knew my eyes were not changing color until Vanitas got up, but that wasn't exactly a good thing.

I'm not exactly the calmest person when my eyes are gold.

Damon raised an eyebrow, "You alright?" He could sense her slow simmering panic and threw an illusion on her. "You're fine, I have you covered. No one will notice anything." He stopped walking and pulled her to the side, "You gonna pass out on me?"

[Xion]

I looked up at Damon and grinned, "Not yet, he gave me an hour." I was quiet before I started shaking a little bit, "But because he interacted before I passed out... OH THIS GONNA BE FUN!"

I tried to calm myself down but it wasn't exactly working, "Vanitas you freaking little-"

[Shiki]

"Xion," Damon eyed the humans around them. His expression turned serious, as did his tone, "Don't make me have to knock you out myself." He was tempted to make them both invisible to everyone. Today wasn't the day he wanted a show.

[Xion]

I found myself laughing again, but I myself didn't know why, "Knock me out? Go ahead if you want, but I won't make it easy for you if you try." I closed my eyes and waited before I spoke, "I'm sorry... I'm so sorry."

I opened them again and they were still gold, "I... I... I'll try and calm down."

[Shiki]

He studied her, nodded, "That might be a good idea. Since this obviously isn't you talking, it needs to be fixed." Damon looked into her eyes, allowing his own to turn hold. A smirk fell into place and he said with an equally threatening voice and addressing whoever was talking, "I can promise you that if I have to I won't make it painless."

[Xion]

I looked it him with an expression of humor, "I'm sorry, you are mistaken, this is in fact, me talking." I was quiet for a moment then said, "You're just used to talking with Xion."

I found myself shaking my head, "But whatever, I'm not risking my well-being, or Xion's, or Vanitas'... or whichever name is being used." I looked Damon right in the eyes and said, "I've got this balanced out I promise, it always takes me a second."

I looked around at some of the humans and said, "Part of the swap between our two's consciousness, is that we share the same mind." I looked back at Damon, "Which is how this is normally supposed to be. However, for some reason, this only happens to me. Vanitas cannot be given more time to be awake, and therefore just passes out."

I closed my eyes once more and didn't open them as I spoke, "But man, man do I actually feel..." then I got quiet and whispered, "Like a demon... if you wanna knock me out go right ahead, but I think I've got it at this point. No you don't you're just saying that to make him feel better. Nope, that's just you thinking that way."

[Shiki]

Damon stared at her, "I don't have a reason to unless you do something to draw the wrong kind of attention to yourself." He looked at the time on his phone. There wasn't much time left that he could be there, he had to get back soon. He said, "I'll take you somewhere that you can crash, okay?"

[Xion]

"Alright." I responded before tilting my head, "I can tell you need to be somewhere." I put on my hood, but only so it would cover my eyes. "And then I can get to work on getting her out of this place... well, at least I know she's got otherworld help, or at least I assume."

[Shiki]

"Sadly. Thought it was my night off," he responded and began to lead her down to Shade Street Apartments. He pulled out his phone and called Shiki, who didn't even know he had her number, "Hey kid do me a favor..."

By the time they got there and up to the correct room number Shiki had given him the keys were taped to the door along with a note for Damon. It said she wasn't paying for it and to erase her number from his phone. He chuckled and turned to Xion, "This is it. Need anything else before I go?"

[Xion]

"No." I said as my eyes turned blue again. This meant I had a good 5 minutes to get somewhere comfortable, "Good luck with whatever you were trying to do... and." I shook my head trying to get Vanitas words out of my head, "Thank you... I don't know how else to thank you..."

[Shiki]

"I'll be fine, it's nothing new." He waved his hand dismissively, "I told you I don't need thanks. I don't deserve it anyway." Damon pulled out a pen and wrote down his number on the backside of the note, "But because you still don't understand a lot about this world, take this. If you have a question give me a call."
