Aqua took a seat and shakes her head no, "But thank you..." She looks around Shiki's apartment and smiles to herself. Its rather homey feeling to her, like Shiki built this place up herself. "You have a nice place."

She grabbed a bottle of soda from the refrigerator and sat down next to Aqua. "Thanks; it's not the best there is. I'm just glad I'm not on the streets."
She took a drink and then placed the bottle on the table in front of them. Shiki didn't know what to say. Did Aqua want to talk about her boys? Did she want a distraction? "I know this must hurt and all, but it'll be over soon and they'll be back. They're in good hands."

Aqua nods and then sighs, "Shiki... I don't know though... I've never been the perfect mother and now... I sent them away, I know its to keep the safe, but I didn't realize... How empty I would be again..."

Shiki looked down at Aqua, "You know, what you see as perfect is probably different from their view. I bet you're perfect to them."
She looked down at her hands, "And from what I've seen, you're an amazing mom." She turned back to Aqua.
"If I let you mother me, will that make you feel better?" She was only half joking.

Aqua laughs a little this before shaking her head, "Maybe... But its probably better if I don't." She gives another laugh, this one more heartfelt. "But I would like to hug you, if that's okay?"

So Aqua pulls Shiki into a hug, feeling warmth return to her as she does, "Y'know... You remind me of an old friend of mine."

She felt strange as Aqua hugged her. It was...safety maybe? At Aqua's statement, she looked up at her. "Really?"

"Yeah," Aqua pulls back and smiles. "He was a lot like you back then, sweet, caring, loyal, understanding... All these things that you are... I'm really glad to have met you." She then pulls away from the hug and sighs, shaking her head.
"But seriously... If I'm burdening you, let me know... I just wanted to be close with my friend."

She complimented me? She stared at Aqua and listened to her. She shhok her head, "You're not a burden, not at all. It's a pleasure to have you around." She looked down at her hands, "It's nice when someone actually cares about you instead of acting as if you're an item to be hidden away."

Aqua's eyes widen in shock and she frowns, but she's unsure as to whether or not Shiki wants her to comment. She really wants to and so she says, "I'm sorry."

Aqua smiles and then sighs, her head shakes, "Same goes for you, anyone whom has the chance to know you is lucky." Somehow, someday, she wants to make up for whatever it was that Shiki went through. Something that no child should go through whether their human, otherborn, demon, or mixed blood, their all the same. Innocent and gentle until raised otherwise...
Or provoked other wise... These words startle the bluenette and she looks around a moment. That voice in her head sounded so much like... His. But she writes it off as her mind playing tricks and she smiles and laughs brightly.
"Yes, really lucky to have you Shiki."

She smiled back at her, "Thanks, Aqua. Really...you have no idea what that means to me." Shiki looked at her curiously, "I'm guessing you know I'm an Otherborn now. Since I sent out that message and everything the other day."
