"I understand," And she does. Sometimes those not related by blood are more family than those whom are. And sometimes being related means nothing to a person. This was one of those times. And somehow, somewhere inside her, she can relate completely.

Shiki nodded, "Aqua...I hate acting so awkward around you. I'm just...not used to this kind of treatment."

Now this was something that Aqua can easily respond to, she leans forward and smiles big as she looks Shiki in the eye, "Then don't act... I wanna know the real you, don't hid anything." She then laughs softly and adds. "Besides, I'm the mother, I'll always treat you like this." This obviously means if she could, she would like to consider Shiki family. That was if it was okay with the other.

Shiki smiles softly, "So...you won't judge me? No matter what I tell you, you'll still see me as me?"

"Of course," Aqua says sincerely. Shiki will always be the Shiki she met and the kindly girl whom helped her. "You'll always be Shiki to me."

This time Shiki smiled brightly, so glad that Aqua wouldn't judge her. "Thank you." The kettle suddenly whistles and she gets up from the couch. "Do you put anything in your tea?"

"Only honey if I have it. And just enough to sweeten the tea a little," Aqua smiles as she decides to follow Shiki this time and watch her work in the kitchen. "Thank you, by the way."

"You're welcome," she responds and pulls put honey and sugar. She poured the water into their cups and dipped in the tea bags. She added honey to Aqua's like she'd asked and sugar to her own. She smiled and handed Aqua her tea. "There you go."

"Thanks again," Aqua takes her tea and blows on it as she waits for it to cool a little. She leans against a near by wall, "Can I ask how long?"

She took her own and leaned against the counter, "How long I've been gone?" She thought it over before answering, "Four years. I left a few days before I turned thirteen."

"You were so young," Aqua says thoughtfully before nodding and saying. "And I thought being eighteen and pregnant was hard... I can't image what I would of done in your position." She smiles in an attempt to keep the mood at least a little light, she's not trying to offend Shiki or anything. Just stating her mind, something she rarely gets to do since she had her kids.

Shiki laughed softly, "Yeah well, when someone from the Network found me, I needed a lot of help. Both physically and mentally. Whether I wanted it or not, I got it. So it wasn't a type of situation where you come off the battlefield with only a few scratches." She looked at Aqua sympathetically, "That must have been hard for you."

Aqua shakes her head, "Yes it was, but that wasn't so bad... As I said, you had it worse I'm sure." She's not kidding, as much as she doesn't like her ten months of pregnancy she can't help, but realize that Shiki has gone through a lot more and for a lot longer. "I'm very glad someone found you and took you in..." Would of I done the same if I had ran into you then?

Shiki shrugged. She wasn't one to argue over her past. "I'm lucky that they did. While I was being taken care of, I met a man who basically became my father figure. He still is. He pretty much brought me back from the dead." Okay...she was skipping some parts. But she wasn't ready to talk about it.

Aqua nods and excepts what she gets she has pushed quite a bit recently and realizes its about time to back down, "That was nice of him." She takes a drink of her tea, feeling refreshed from the warmth and the taste of it.
