"She runs the place after midnight, but she wanders through every now and again during day shift," he said. "She likes to set her own hours, says it's one of the perks of owning a club." He chuckled.

A strange girl came up to the table so fast, Shiki was momentarily confused. It took a minute for the girl to realize she was there, though her attention seemed to be mostly on Noctis. Shiki's attention was on the alcohol that she'd brought to the table. It wasn't a glass or two; it was the whole bottle.
There is no way she's going to be walking out of here sober.
She turned back to the girl who asked if she was interrupting. "Um, a little actually." She replied, trying not to sound rude. At the request of a drinking game, she answered, "I'm sixteen."

Noctis nodded as Shiki told the strange girl that she was slightly interrupting, not to mention that there was also the problem of Shiki being underage. He doubted that anyone would want to get tossed out for giving alcohol to a minor. He couldn't help but notice that the girl had an entire bottle of tequila, as such he wouldn't be surprised if she ended up passed out on the floor of one of the washrooms later.

"I'll probably be leaving before then. It's been an... Interesting night so who know." To think my day actually started out normal until the Vakarian thing popped up. Oh well, I was actually feeling much better now, not so paranoid. I wasn't ready to thank these two for helping to keep it off my mind though.

The situation was making Shiki uncomfortable, and she stood up. "That person I was talking about is here now. I think I'll bring them over, okay? I'll be right back." She said to Noctis, and then made her way back to where she had orginally been sitting. Luckily, her orange haired friend hadn't left his spot.
"Hey Neku, I want you to come meet someone. He's an Otherborn and is interested in joining the organization." She beckoned him to follow her to the table.

I looked up at her.
"Really?" I asked, slightly surprised. Damn, but she was good. "I'd like to meet him myself."

She smiled. "I thought you might. Come on I'll introduce you." She led him over to where Noctis was sitting. "This is Neku, a friend of mine and part of the organazation." She gestured her hand towards the guy she'd met. "Neku, this is Noctis." Shiki didn't bother mentioning what position Neku was in. She could tell how he handled his position, and left it up to him to tell Noctis.
She sat down and then pointed to a chair next to her, implying for Neku to sit.

Noctis nodded to confirm that he'd wait, looking back to his glass when she went to talk to the orange haired kid at the bar. Sipping from it as she came back with Neku and introduced him. "Hello Neku." He replied with a brief smile as he set his glass back on the table. With the glass safely on the table he removed his hand though he circled the rim lightly as an absentminded gesture.

I sat down. Noticing that Shiki didn't mention my exact position, I was a bit thankful. No need to get this guy uncomfortable right from the beginning.
"Hey, Noctis. It's nice to meet you. What did you want to know?"

Noctis thought over what sort of things would be useful to know when it came to this organization. "The basics mostly. What's required of members, what the organization offers, its goals, just things like that." He replied as he watched Neku carefully. This guy had an air about him, much like someone who was in charge. Hell, for all Noctis knew he probably was. Still, he wanted to make sure that he wasn't about to jump head first into something before he was well informed.

"Hopefully we'll get to see her around sometime." I said before draining the last of my drink. I really would have to come back to this place more often, I don't know why I didn't come across it earlier! I set the empty glass back on the table and leaned comfortably back in my seat. "So, what kind of things go on around here? In the area, I mean."

I nodded; all of that, I could understand.
"The organization... we call it the Network... it doesn't really have any 'requirements' or 'rules'. The only thing that's needed is to be one of us." I thought for a moment, how best to put things and all that jazz.
"We basically exist as a support group, in a way. To show others like us that we're not alone. If you're a member of the Network, you can count on the others to help you. The Watchers help enforce that; Watchers scout out new Otherborn and help them learn about the Otherworld and Crossings before they get hurt and scarred, Coordinators organize get-togethers and raids on known demons, and Contacts serve as liaisons between the higher-ups and the everyday folk."
I paused, thinking some more.
"The Network keeps track of demons that Cross into our world, and we also keep tabs on the shifts of the Otherworld. Sometimes, we organize raids on those demons, or into the Otherworld itself... but you don't have to participate. Mostly, joining the Network involves giving your number to a Contact."
I looked up at the ceiling, trying to figure out if I'd forgotten anything.
"Oh. I did say there weren't any ules, but the Watchers in an area generally get some say in standards for Otherborn in those areas to follow. Watchers are chosen by the Otherborn in their area anyway, so it's mostly not an issue."

((Actually, Lea did say they carded. I haven't decided where Urbadelphia is, but there are drinking laws in most modern-day countries, and whether we're in Canada or the US or wherever, 16's still too young. Sorry for not clearing that up.
Since the US sucks and people have already mentioned bein surprised that Lea doesn't drink, I'm probably going to set that age at 18 for now.))

(They never left the table. Shiki brought Neku over to the table they were sitting at.)
Noctis finished off the last of his drink as Neku spoke about the organization, it certainly didn't seem bad. To him it seemed more helpful than anything and wasn't overly complicated, just cut and dry for the most part. Noctis thought it over for a moment before finally making a decision. "Alright, if you'll take me then I'll join." He told Neku, grateful that he had found a place that gave him a reason to settle in a little more permanently instead of taking off at the first sign of trouble.

(Sorry I suck at this apparently)
My face turned bright red, I had clearly walked in on something I shouldn't have. Neither one of them look interested, and while the little girl explained she was only 16 I felt the man eyeball me and the bottle. Clearly he didn't approve. Before I could respond they both started whispering and invited somebody over. Not wanting to cause trouble I moved over to a empty table.
"Fiddle sticks, that could have gone better."
Little did they know how much I could drink without passing out, I often played drinking games with salors and won. It took about 3 bottles to get me drunk and another one to make me pass out. Pouring 2 more shots I look around the bar for something to do.
