"I'm up for it Jack. I've been dying to exercise myself for awhile now." My eyes started to turn red at the opportunity to use my powers.
"N, they're not animals, they're demons. Some are good and some...Well let's just say they're not nice and want to hurt everyone here including your animal friends. That's why people like me and Jack fight them so we can keep everyone safe. I think that's a noble cause don't you think N?" I added.

I shake my head. "No! I mean... I won't have the animals fight! That's not fair to them! What cause do they have? And why do you want them to get hurt?!"

I had been getting pissier and angry with every word they said. With every word filled shove they gave N. I may know Riku more, but N... N is a gentle soul, I can see this. So I step in between him and the other two, shoving them back if needed, "He said NO! STOP ASKING!!!" I could feel my body tensing and my teeth clench as I hold back a nasty hiss. "DON'T GO PESTERING SOMEONE WHEN THEY SAY NO! THEIR ANSWER WON'T CHANGE LEAVE IT BE!!!"
((Sorry guys... Kiara has this thing where if she feels her friends are threatened she'll pretty much attack... The kinder she thinks you are, the harder she'll fight for you~ Even if the fight is stupid and for no good reason at all ^^'))

My chest felt heavy now. I... made Riku sad. And Kiara was angry at them for it. I fall flat on the ground and look down. "I'm sorry, guys... I'll go." I reply quietly. I didn't want to make anyone angrier.

"What?!" I turn around to look at N. "Why would you do that?" My eyes are big and I'm worried now and no longer mad.
"Did I upset you? Do you want to help them? Is something wrong... I'm sorry!" I didn't mean to upset him, I just thought that Riku was being mean, I hate meanies.

Now I made Kiara sad. "No... I mean, I wanna go! It sounds really fun. I just don't want to let the animals get hurt. And... I don't think I have any other powers." I reply quietly again. "I don't want to get hurt, either."

"Well... You don't have to let them get hurt... You don't have to fight either," I hold out my hands to him. "I'll help keep you safe, promise!" The intense need to make N feel better isn't new, I felt this way before for Riku too when he was hurt, I just didn't know what to do then... I'm not gonna let that happen again... Even if I have to be overly serious and do more than just be a little kitten, I do need to grow up sometime...

I look up to Kiara. Suddenly, my chest wasn't so heavy. I smile at her. Still, I was confused why people hold out their hands like that. I'd have to ask about that later. "Okay. I believe you." I stand up and nod at Jack and Riku. "Okay, Jake. Lead the way."

Jack facepalmed before shaking his head and leading them further up the road. He'd already mentally contacted Otar to tell him to start a light crossing in order to judge what N was capable of in a combat format, to see if he would be of any use in taking The Void. Riku had been easier to judge, he just had to play on his weaknesses, but this newcomer was too innocent for Jack to find any personality flaws to easily twist, although he had a few ideas.
He stopped every now and again, to check anything that could be considered 'demon tracks' a burnt out car he'd seen some blonde haired guy throw a few weeks back, some trampled grass. The usual. After about ten minutes of them walking around, he motioned for a halt and sniffed the air... He could smell demons, probably just around the bend they were at. With a flick of his wrist, an ornate dagger appeared in his hand "Are we all ready?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

The walk was... what's the word? Anticipating. Jack was constantly smelling the air, looking around. We WERE hunting demons, sure... But something was a bit off. He was so nonchalant about it. Then eventually he stopped, and smelled the air one more time. It was time.
I stared in awe as the dagger appeared in his hand. It was... beautifully crafted, to say the least. I stopped marveling and looked at Kiara. Then back at Jack. "Yeah. Let's do it, Jake."

I had decided to follow along side N, he called the shot to go and I had promised to keep him safe. I will not brake that promise, especially not moments after making it. The dagger in the guy's hand upsets me a little and he REEKS of the Otherworld... But we're hunting demons so this will have to be shoved aside for now.
I wait for something to happen, all cheerfulness set aside for the moment.

I had manged to convince N to join us and as we walked I began to feel a tinge of regret for making him come. I never meant to bully him into coming, by all means the choice was his to make. "Kiara, do you still like me?" I asked.

"Well..." I nod slowly. "Just don't... Do things like that next time... If someone says no... Just back down, don't act like a meanie... I know ya no bully." But none the less I stay by N's side and didn't look up at Riku, knowing better than to allow myself the chance to loose control of myself... I never want to become like Master.

Jack raised a hand to silence Riku and Kiara who were conversing between themselves. Despite that fact he'd initiated this crossing, he was still being wary, demons were dangerous creatures and despite him being a Lord he was not going to risk getting disemboweled because his team weren't ready. Turning his head to the others he nodded "We go on my count..." he flicked another dagger into his free wrist and took a deep breath to steady his nerves.
"1..." he whispered, as he edged closer towards the edge of the corner, preparing to turn around and begin the attack "2..." He continued the count, he could hear the demons around the corner snarling and sniffing the air for humans "3... Now!" he roared rushing around the corner, he came face to face with a snarling lesser with a large bladed weapon for an arm, and instantly, fluidly, almost naturally cut it down.
