And he'll lose his when I knock it off his stupid shoulders!"[/b] As if to reiterate his point, Shizuo punched a nearby dumpster with all of his might, sending it flying off over the cityscape as if it were a rocket launched towards space. This seemed to do something to calm down Shizuo, whose eyes were slowly fading back to their original colour, his pacing also slowed as he lit up a cigarette.
"I hate all this thinking stuff, it's bull... This guy's clearly some sort of tough guy... Why pansy around stealing money and crap? If I wanted to stir up trouble, I'd just find some big names, and crush 'em! That's how you get someone's attention, right there."

My eyes snap onto Shizuo and I glare darkly, "He is crushing big names, ma amie. My family's name to be exact!" And then I look back to Vaan, instantly shoving off my anger... I don't wanna upset Neku again... "Yeah, I don't get it either... But that's all we got."

"I'm not one for sarcasm." Shizuo replied. "I'm speaking literally. What's in it for that guy, stealing money from your family? No... Of he really wanted to make ripples, why not just kill them? It'd be a quicker and easier solution, as well as plug up the funds they give to the Network. It's basic stuff. This guy has something else up his sleeve and I don't like it." He took a deep drag on his cigarette before continuing.
"If he's gonna' dance about in the shadows, we should..." He couldn't believe he was going to suggest this... "Maybe we should find someone who knows them better, like..." He physically shuddered, taking a large drag for support.
"Like the Flea, Orihara."

"Actually, maybe that's not so far off," I said grudgingly. "There's a lotta people who hate me and would like nothing mroe than to see me off my seat. That's 'cause I actually enforce the rules I make, unlike hte old organization. The Network has a lotta influence, but it supports the existing structure. As much as I hate the CIA, taking it or the government or the UN down doesn't do us any good... but if this guy wants to conquer the world, starting with those organizations... he'll do it over the Network's dead body." I looked at Vaan. "I think that might be what he's up to..."

Shiki got up and joined the group, nodding in agreement with what Neku had said. However the real surprise came when Shizuo suggested getting help from Izaya. She didn't look to him for fear of pissing him off, so instead she glanced to the Head. It was easy for her to admit that she wouldn't step one foot near Izaya for anything. But when it came to her friends, well that changed everything. Neku chose what she was secretly hoping for though, and she was every bit relieved.

The black-haired, young-looking human form of the ancient demon known as Izaya Orihara leaned against Veil's exterior, his usual smirk plastered across his face.
"For that matter.... did I just hear the sound of the ending world?" He came forward, spun, then hopped a couple of steps over to Shizuo, looking up into his rage-filled face. "Hahahah, oh, Shizu-chan, I knew you'd come to me eventually~" He chuckled, grinning up at Shizuo with an expression of supreme arrogance.

She glares at the information broker before reaching out and placing a hand on Shizuo's back, "We all need your help, Izaya Orihara." Her gaze is steely and is telling the male to STEP OFF.

A stop sign lodged itself into the wall next to Izaya. It was clear that (for once) Shizuo had intentionally missed. But something else stood out about Shizuo. His face was dark, not just angry or resentful like it normally was around Orihara, but eminated pure hatred.
"Don't call me that... Ever... Especially not now..."
He shot a glare that would kill a mammoth at Orihara. Aqua's reassuring hand being the only thing stopping him from lunging forwards towards the demon.
"I don't care if you help us or not..." He snarled. "But if you call me that... One more time this week... Nothing in this city will stop me from tearing your throat out..."

While Shizuo glared down Izaya like no tomorrow, Vaan flipped through Sora's Journal to the entry of Izaya. In the psychological profile there was only one sentence written about him in Sora's Journal.
Self-reliance you will learn from Izaya Orihara.
Self-reliance? Vaan thought, keeping a spot marked about him in the journal before slowly moving forward. Standing next to Aqua as she calmed Shizuo.

Izaya Orihara was no fool; he skipped back, spinning around, and chuckled. "Very well then, Shizu-kun," he said, nodding and putting his hands on his hips. "How can I help you and your fiiiiine Network today, hmm?" He turned to face Vaan, giving him a critical, analyzing glance. "And who might this fine young mortal be, hmmmm?" he asked playfully.

Despite everyone else's option of Izaya I personally find him neutral, but then again considering my parents... He's like... Normal to me. So I wave and smile to him, "Oh that cutie pie? That's Vaan, don't mind him, he's new of course~." Did I just say that? All well, what's the harm?

Josh and Sophie were talking amongst themselves about Josh's approach to getting information, and they concluded it would be best to follow along with the group and learn as they go. They had learned a few things about the people around them, but Sophie was sure there were more things to them than meets the eyes (but she kept this from Josh).
Yet another newcomer appeared, and he was ecstatic as ever, like he was expecting them to need him, and looked forward to it.
"Oh, that cutie pie" they heard Namine begin. "That's Vaan, don't mind him, he's new of course~."
He's not the only one, Josh thought to himself; and Sophie nudged him again like she knew what he was thinking.

Vaan looked at Namine again, who pretty much handled the introduction part just fine.
"Vaan Shepard," he introduced himself fully, "And you're Izaya Orihara, an information broker who tends to give out which pieces of information he feels is best to give out. Has a tendency of playing mind games and toys with his clients out of some perverse 'love' for people."
Of course, all that information came from Sora's analysis, Vaan paused for a moment before mumbling, "And...stuff."

Shiki had to fight to keep a harsh glare off her face. The expression she wore was one of annoyance instead, and she was determind to not let Izaya get under her skin...at least not much. Seeing the way he was looking at Vaan, Shiki stepped up next to the blond and crossed her arms. She didn't know Vaan well, but she didn't want the info broker messing with him.
