"Ah I get it." She smiled, "Sounds like him though. He basically showed up one day and said, 'Hey Shiki you're moving to Urbadelphia, don't worry about your stuff it's already packed.'" She shrugged, "I just went with it though."

"I wouldn't tell him my name for the longest time," she laughed softly, "He called me so many different things until finally I gave in and told him. Looking back, it was a pretty funny situation." Shiki sighed, looked at the ceiling, "Haven't heard from him in a while."

"Same here," I said, then shrugged. "Actually... not necessarily true. I got a text from him a little while ago... said he was sending someone to our chapter to take care of things for him for a while. I haven't seen her around, though, he told me not to bother meeting up withher, that she knew her way around townand would find me when she was ready. Maybe she can't now or something... I dunno."

I nodded. "I do too," I said, stirring my cocoa and taking another drink; a long swig this time - it burned my tongue a little but I didn't care.
"Sometimes I wonder if he saw it coming," I added quietly. "Soemtimes I wonder if he didn't. I don't know which idea scares me more."

"I've wondered the same thing. I swore sometimes he knew me before I did myself. But whether he did or not, this is where we're at now." She sat forwards, uncrossing her legs and took another sip for thought. Then added, "If anything, I admire all that he managed to do for me. I'll never let that go."

"Me either," I replied, then winced, realizing she hadn't said that out loud.
"S-sorry," I mumbled, running a hand through my hair. "Bad habit. Sometimes I can't tell the difference between what you're thinking and what your'e saying; I forgot to keep a lock on my powers.... I'm not used to them being this strong."

I shrugged. "I've had a while to get used to it, and... I'm good at holding it together in front of other people. Just like Nami. Have you ever noticed she never breaks down in front of anyone?" I shook my head. "I... It also helps that my memories..."
I sighed.
"Oh, hell. All of this is coming out, isn't it?" I put a hand to my temples and rubbed as if to stave off the oncoming headache.
"I could've stayed human, Shiki, I told you that, but when I got my memories back I learned that that wasn't what I am, okay?"
